I just heard from Karen and Cosmo is now enroute to Selena. Karen is off to work now so she couldn't post.

Selena, I hated thunder and lightening storms as a child. Growing up in SoDak with all the tornadoes, I think I just assumed they would all turn into a tornado. My grandparents farm was destroyed by a tornado.

Hey, which one of you said that Chris from AI was from your hometown? I am too lazy to go back and read but anyway.......I always liked him because of how his wife portrayed him as a stepdad. I think that is why he has remained my favorite.

Karen - Did you get to see all the cats at Hemmingway's house? We did a lot of walking around Key West. It was fun but my feet hurt!!!!!!! How did you like Duval Street? What bars did you go to? It has never rained in the 2 times I went there.

Marcie - I would think that they had ATM's at Key West. I never had to use one, but I am positive they would have one near the port.

I am so ecstatic and I can't hold in my excitement anymore, I am never going to get any work done for the rest of the day.

I GOT UPGRADED from a Category 9 to a Category 6 on the September cruise!!!! I have never had a verandah before on any of my cruises and I get one for 10 days!!!! I am going to be so spoiled!!!!! We were in room 2002 and we are now is 5650. Anyone hear anything about room 5650? I tried to do a search but nothing has come up. I did read that the verandah is bigger because it is the last stateroom (aft) on the starboard side and because of the curvature of the ship it gives you a little more room!!!!

Sending good thought and pixie dust to my mom, hoping that she got an upgrade too!!!!

Marcie - I found out because I asked my TA to cancel the trip insurance because I can get it cheaper through insuremytrip.com and I decided to look at the reservation on the disney cruise website. Sure enough, the stateroom number was changed to 5650 and there is also 169 days left until we go cruising!!!!

I was looking at the med cruises but the airfare to get out there and back is outrageous. No way would I be able to afford the airfare to/from Barcelona and the cruise and excursions and drinks, and souveniers!!!!!

Yea Heidi, the airfare is the problem. I can get a cat 12 and pay just a little over what I paid for my 7 day in a cat 7. So, that's okay, but the airfare.

Heidi how wonderful for you. 10 blissful days with a verandah. You will be spoiled silly. They are wonderful. I honestly did not think they were that important because I never enjoyed it because the kids were always out there while I was getting ready. But in September I wished the whole time I had asked Jeff to get a verandah because with it being just us I would have enjoyed it alot.

Sandy honey what can I say? Wasn't it you who surprised your sweet daughter with this booking while on the repo? Maybe you will get lucky too! I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Karen you hit another great travel update for us. How did you like Key West? I have never been and I am looking forward to it. Did you like the Rasul? Very relaxing and you can come right out and have a drink too!

Marcie did you get to order the shoes or not? I can ask Janet if she remembers the website I ordered ours from.

OK everyone 14 days until vacation...flying out to Ft Lauderdale and will be there in time for lunch. 15 days until my cruise.

Yes Selena, I ordered the shoes. I just checked my email and they were shipped today fedex. Now I want to find at least one more outfit I can wear with them. I'm going to at least buy a pair of white shorts or capris and wear my red tank top with them

My DH called me at work today and said he had just passed this bridal shop and they had this gold formal in the window that would look great on me. He wants me to go try it on to see if it will look good for Palo.

Sandy I will keep my fingers crossed that you get an upgrade too.

I'm trying to figure out what I can sale on ebay to raise money for a Med cruise.

I know I can hardly wait to cruise.

We live in 13 days and cruise in 14 days. I can hardly wait. I have met some great people who I wil be cruising with and can not wait to finally meet them in person. We talk on the phone all the time. LOL I feel about them like I do all of you. WE ARE FAMILY...ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS...AND ME...


Heidi I just keep on thinking about your friend. Please let her know your friends here are thinking and praying for her. If you feel like she would understand us.

I feel so bad that my mom did not get an upgrade and I did. I actually lost sleep over it last night because I felt so guilty because they did book the room for me. I really hope they get an upgrade too, or else I might not enjoy it as much. I am sure as time passes it won't be so disappointing for my mom and I won't feel as guilty...but still TODAY I feel bad!!!!!

Marcie - that was so sweet of your husband to think about you when he saw the dress. Have you gone to check it out yet?

My friend is doing okay, she is actually acting so passive about it that it scares me and her mom. We think that if she wants to fight for her marriage then they need to go to counseling, but if not then she should talk to a lawyer. She is taking his word on everything and we think she needs to get everything in writing. He keeps saying that she can have everything and that she can keep Elijah with her and he would have visitation rights BUT she needs this on paper so she can fight. I am going over to her house tonight to help her fill out applications for government jobs.

The funny thing is, when I told Dane about our first cruise and they we would have to dress up for dinner he complained. But, by the time the cruise got here he was excited. Now after being on one he is really excited about dressing up again, or rather, maybe it's seeing me dressed up. I am going to try to go try on that dress this weekend. It's about 30 minutes from here, and I have a feeling they close early since it's a bridal shop. I have to work until at least 1 on Saturday so we will see how it works out.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Sandy to get an upgrade.

Selena, I can imagine how excited you are cruising with friends like that. If we were all cruising together I would be very excited.

Your friend has been in my thoughts too. I got a divorce when Aerial was 3 and it was very tough being a single mom. Not to mention how much her heart must be broken.

Before I forget.... I talked to my sister this morning andshe thinks her husband STILL has his tattoo. (henna) She said she does not have hers but it lasted a long time. She got a Mickey and he for a Denver Bronco.

Next... Selena.... Cosmo should be there by tomorrow!!! I am very excited for you. My sister and I and our kids are trying how to book for a cruise again in a year come June.

OK,, almost the whole house is packed with the exception of my room, a little in my bathroom, part of the kitchen and . . . man, I think that is it!!! Little things are left. I am fretting over transferring these turtles and I want to bring back some Jasmine and somehow try to grow that b/c it smells so beautiful. I would need to bring it inside in the winters, but it is SO beautiful (the smell)

Heidi, you mentioned a haircut a few pages back. Do we get to see before and after pictures? Also, as a parent, while your mom may be disappointed that she didn't get an upgrade, I would be willing to bet that she is thrilled for you. Seeing your kids happy trumps almost any disappointment. Am I right, ladies? Disney has helped her give you more than she even thought she could.

Yes I can do that, as soon as I get my digital camera charged. (although I might cry when I see how long my hair was!!! It will grow back!!!)

That's what my boyfriend says as well!!! He is 36 and says he went bald before he was 30.

Karen - not drastic, but it is different to me. Most of my life I have had extremely really long, straight, one length haircut. I decided to get some layers and the shortest layer goes to my chin and other layers get longer from there. The longest part is probably at my shoulder blade. I love it and think it will be really cute when it gets a little longer!!!
