I hated Hooters because of the idea behind it, but now that I know they serve their hot wings "naked" (that's what they call it when they don't bread the wings) I LOVE it!!!!! The waitresses have all been very nice to me, but I still hate the concept.

And guess what, I stole my mom's Hooter's shirt and shorts, now she can explain that!!!!!!

Are you guys tired of me yet? I was just reading the newspaper about Amazing Race. Guess what???? It starts here in Denver at Red Rocks with a race to our airport, DIA, to head off to Brazil. There is a Colorado couple in it. They are Fran and Barry and are the oldest contestants. Red Rocks is an outdoor amphitheater and is VERY close to where my husband grew up and where we MIGHT build a new log cabin home. I am so excited now. But....it starts 1/2 hour before American Idol ends. It is 2 hours tonight.

Geez Heidi. Of all times that we cross posted! Ok, so I had a surprise 50th birthday party (4 months early so I wouldn't guess it and not show up) and the guy that takes Ted to Hooters for his birthday bought me the shirt. No, I don't run around in a Hooters shirt!

Jrsy you need to ask Jeff about being at Myrtle Beach during Bike week a few years ago. His dad use to have a place at the beach and we use to go for Jeff's birthday every year. We went to Hard Rock and he had a Tigger Polo shirt one. At MB the HR is shaped like a pyramid. They take you up on the stairs and annouce it is your birthday and then proceed to sing to you. It was so funny him standing there with his Tigger shirt on and all those biker dudes around. I loved it. Maybe he was just paying me back. LOL

I like Hooters. I think their wings are great. I have been in there many times when it was a birthday. It is really funny to see a preteen on the stool. Matter of a fact we almost went there tonight. Wound up at Moe's instead. My kids hate Hooters. I had a cousin that worked there a few years ago. My dad wanted to go there for his birthday a few years ago but when he found out I was really going to take him he chicken out. Come to find out a few weeks later he told me he thought it was a topless joint. Poor Daddy. LOL

We were there with the betrays. The ones who told the lies about DH to get E and him kicked off the baseball team. That guy was an %#@* he kept on tossing his napkin on the floor to make the waitress bend over and pick it up. I am sorry but that is nasty.

Robbie and Lulu where are you two?? Lulu do you feel better about you dad and vacations? I try not to listen to my mom. I actually do not tell her when we are cruising/vacationing until the last minute just to not hear her complain. I know it is harder for you to do that though.

Marcie Newport News had some great sales on bathing suits in their clearance section. I ordered one for 11.99!!!

Okay I guess it's time to admit I have a hooters shirt too. I've worn it a few times. My DH went to Hooters while he was out of town and brought me home the shirt. I've never been, but I would go. We just don't have one here. I would much rather be with my DH there then him alone. But, like Jrsy says they are all fake anyway.

I'm ready for Idol tonight. That is cool that the race is starting by you. Okay how do we watch both at the same time???

I got home from work and my screensaver was going with pictures of the cruise and I caught Dane looking at them and just smiling. Just 4 1/2 months we will be back there. We were talking about making something cool in the sand to take a picture of for the scrapbook.

Selena....you don't have too long now. You get to meet Cosmo soon.

I have only been to Hooters once. I felt so out of place. We walked in and it seemed like all the men just stared. Icky feeling.

Dane is certainly ready to go again if he was smiling at the pictures. I know Ted is ready after this horrible year!

I honestly can not wait to meet Cosmo. I bet him and Sammy will get along famously. I am taking him shopping as soon as I get him. He will need some cruise attire I am sure. Plus I want to get something that has NC on it for him to wear. Oh goodness I get way to into things like this. I do not know why.

I didn't watch much of AI last night....too busy running around the house, but I did watch Amazing Race. I loved that AR started in Denver and it was so much fun knowing where they were at all times. When the couple stopped at the gas station I knew they were at the gas station at colfax and I-70...pretty close to wear I work. There is a mall over there that I and eat lunch at sometimes with coworkers. Then I saw another team pass by Lakeside (an amusement park here). My dad and I drive by Red Rocks, on that same road everytime we go skiing!!!! I loved it!!! Red Rocks is such a fun place to go to concerts at. It is about 10-15 minutes away from my parents house. My best friend was actually married at Red Rocks and Stacey got married pretty close to Red Rocks.

Some other Disers that we know pretty well sets up teams for each person and who ever wins is supose to get a traveling trophy. My team this year is the Hippies from San Fransisco, my mom and I laughed so hard when we saw who I had!!!!!

Believe it or not Jeff is excited about meeting Sammy. I am sure he will be just as excited about Cosmo. My husband has thought be crazy for some time. LOL

The whole thing about Sammy is you are suppose to take her everywhere with you when you have him. Needless to say poor Sammy has had a hard life. LOL Jeff is taking him Bungee jumping on the Enchantment. LOL I guess I will carry around Cosmo. I just hope he is not influenced by the wrong crowd when I have him.

I need to show you guys some pictures of Sammy. He is much smaller than Cosmo. I will hunt for the thread we have and post it on here.

Just wanted to share a yummy recipe that I tried the other night. It was easy and good.
Asparagus Beef Lo Mein


1 boneless beef sirloin steak about 1 pound, thinly sliced
1/4 teas. Minced garlic
2 T. olive oil
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-1/2 pieces
2-1/4 cups water, divided
2 pkgs. (3 oz) beef ramen noodles
2/3 cup hoisin sauce

In a large skillet or wok, stir fry beef and garlic in oil for 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Add the asparagus, stir fry for 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.

In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup water and ½ t seasoning from one ramen noodle seasoning packet, stir until dissolved. Add hoisin sauce, stir into the beef mixture. Bring to a a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. (Discard remaining seasoning from opened packet)

In a large saucepan, bring the remaining water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and contents of remaining seasoning packet. Cook for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover and let stand until noodles are tender. Serve beef mixture over noodles. Yield: 4 servings.
