Karen I have never been to Key West. I am looking forward to it in April. I can not wait until you tell us all about it. You know they have no open container law. It is a good thing you had a hang over Saturday. I bet you are not drinking much now.

Yes, the interview is a big one. We have no clue what is going on with it. Just a month ago they had 3 postions available. But they hired a manager for the one we were hoping on. It was one we would not have had to move for.

Did I tell you guys about all the good stuff they have been saying about Jeff lately? One manager in Greensboro point blank told an Assistant Director they needed to go ahead and hire Jeff. That was for the postion they have filled now. It was a Greensboro/Durham manager. One AD said they were very impressed by Jeff. The State Director in Jeff's area of work (they have directors for every department) had his secretary ask for Jeff's resume over a month ago. I think it was 2 weeks ago he was called and told her had this interview. It is a big one. BUT we do not know what it is for. Jeff meet with his old manager last week and helped fill out some type of questionaire about him. Only three people in the state had this done. Now he has an interview for this. It is called a New Generation Talent Interview. We have no clue what this means or what it is about. We do not know if it means he will get a promotion or if this is something new. We do know how very major an interview with every department Director is though. It is like a panel interview. Either way it is big. It will get him noticed more. RIght now he is the number 3 adjustor in the state. He does not know who the number one is but the number two is the guy he works with. He was told the only reason that guy was chose to be number two over him was the years of service.

They did an audit that would affect the whole state. They chose Jeff's district to audit. The lower the number the better. His and Tom's shops came out .02%. Which is unheard of GREAT. He is doing everything right but he just has not been chosen for a promotion yet. Last year Danny asked Doug what Jeff needed to do to realize a promotion. Well Jeff has done it all now.

This could be good or it could be bad. LOL He kids me all the time we are going to wind up in Ohio. It is cold up there. LOL I would much rather go warm them North.

No, I don't know her specific itenerary. I just know that we are both doing the Western and Key West is on the Sunday for my cruise.

I used to have a Spiegel charge card but I closed it. I shopped a lot at Spiegel & Newport News when I had that card.

Marcie - those flip flops and dress match perfectly. How cute!!!! I am always afraid to buy clothes online because I am afraid they won't fit right!!!!! I have a Hawaiian dress that my ex-boyfriend had a matching shirt to go with it. His parents bought it for us in Hawaii, I have only worn it once in Mexico with him and then he broke up with me like 3 months later!!!!!! You have to post a picture of your perfect dress from Dillards!!!

Selena - Yes I did end up finding an electric blanket, for $70 on overstock.com!!!! My mom bought me the one from JC Penney's but that was $120, but when I saw overstock.com had more in their inventory I quickly snatched one up!!! Saved me $50, the quality might not be as good but we will see, I only need it in the winter anyway!!!! Keep us updated on Jeff. That sounds so exciting and promising. Pixie Dust and good luck being sent your way.

I wonder where Karen is at now....hmmm if I remember right she will be on the ship because it is a sea day. She is probably eating breakfast and getting ready to take her granddaughter to the mickey pool!!!!!!!

Geez, all this tropical shopping really make me want to buy!!!!!! I wonder how accurate their sizes are??!!!

Selena, wow, all that info on Jeff is cool. I sure would think that he would get a terrific promotion. Sometimes I think they like to hold onto the good guys in certain positions because they ARE so good.

I know about being in the mood for shopping. For some weird reason I think I have to have all new clothes for a cruise. LOL In September I do not think I bought anything new because I had all the clothes I had bought for Disney. I am tired of all of my old dresses. I think I have a new one for every night of the night Enchantment cruise now. I just got one from ebay last week. It is a cute dress but I found something wrong with it. I am a little ticked off at the seller because she never said anything was wrong with the dress. I even asked her. I found it after leaving feedback too!!! I am bad at myself for that. I normally wait a few days to leave feedback to give me time to look the item over real well. It is new but I think she must have bought it as a second. There is just no way Charlotte Russe would have sold this dress here in Winston with what is wrong with it. It is not real noticeable but I know it is there so I am not sure if I will wear it or not.

Heidi I am so glad you ordered your blanket. I am telling you I would be lost without my electric mattress pad. I love it. I keep it on one most nights just to keep my toes tosaty.

Jeff's company does like to keep good people in there places. LOL His new manger tells him all the time he can not be promoted until they find a replacement better than him. Well that is just impossible. He really is great at his job. He has only been with the company 4 years. But he has already received two ob level promotions while there. He makes decent money and would make more if he would get a promotion. We think there will be an opening in Hickory and Salisbury in the next few months. Salisbury is driveable. I might could talk him into driving for the Hickory one too because he does not have to live in the same district as he works. He also does not have to go into the office often. This way I can keep my job. Right now his promotion would not be enough pay to make up for my lose of wages.

Now that is a funny story. My mom and I had both been to BBW so we knew what you would have to do. My mom said, I'm not doing it...but somehow I got her to pick out the heart and make a wish and do all the song and dance to go with it. She hates being the center of attention and it was hilarious, I was laughing so hard as she was rubbing the heart, etc. She made a wish so only she will know if the wish came true. My duty was to step on the stuffing machine pedal to fill him up with fluff!!!!! We had so much fun that day.

Selena, I am exactly like you. For some reason, I think I need new clothes for every cruise. BUT, keep in mind that we cruise with the same people. I bought this gorgeous black formal for the PC cruise before I lost the weight. I bought it as an incentive and it WORKED! But anyway, I saw a lady wearing the same one. Sure am glad I lost the weight and that is all I will say!

I am like you I hate to be the center of attention. I can not stand to think people are looking at me.

On my birthday a few years back Jeff took me and the kids to Build A Bear. I wanted the white bear they use to have. I do not think they have it anymore. He annouced to the people it was my birthday. You know what they do when it is your birthday there? I was mortified. I was very sick with a nasty cold and did not even want to go I felt so bad but I gave in to Jeff. Then he had them point me out and sing and all of this stuff. Instead of saying my age they said I was 16 again. I was so embarrassed.

I would have loved to see you do all of that. LOL

Well I bet Karen and the gang are at dinner now. Oh I hope the weather is lovely for them.

I'm with y'all on the attention thing. And, the dress thing. LOL. That red dress isn't even something I would wear to work. I usually try to justify with I will wear it anyway. Not this time I still get to buy a dress for Palo and 3 more outfits. Also, at least 1 new bathing suit, probably a coverup, a couple of shorts. Then of course shorts and bathing suits for Aerial too. I have been searching all over the internet for a man's hawaiian type shirt that had pirates on it but I haven't found one yet. I will keep looking though. Wow looks like i have a lot of shopping to do.

Do you think Cosmo has been introduced to BBCs yet???

I think it is embarrassing at the Texas Roadhouse and what they do for birthdays. They sing to you and make you wear a cowboy hat and get up on a saddle. (okay, actually I would have a lot of fun with that!!!!)

I hope Karen has taken a lot of pictures with Cosmo. I think Karen will be at Grand Cayman today.

At Chevy's, they used to make you wear a big sombrero, but you got to keep it. We never went in there without it being somebody's birthday...and it was usually a surprise to that person that it was their birthday.

Oh my gosh, you two. I can't believe that you are airing out your most private affairs on a publc forum. But in all honesty, thanks JrsyBoy for ratting out Heidi. She always said she was going to the library. Guess it wasn't true.

But really, I need to know the truth. What does Hooters do for birthdays? A friend always takes out my hubby for his birthday. I do believe that it has been Hooters for a few times.

It is a beautiful day here in Denver. I can't believe that it is this nice in February. I think I will water the lawn today.

What does Hooters do for birthdays?

The one time I got dragged there on my birthday, I had to stand on a stool in the middle of the restaurant while the Hooter's Girls sang to me. It wasn't too bad, as far as I was concerned, because the view from above was outstanding.
And before you doubt my dislike of Hooter's (other than Heidi, of course) let me just say that I HATE phoniness. I have no problem with scantily clad women, but when they pretend that they really dig you in order to get a bigger tip, I consider that pretty phony. How many Hooter's Girls do you think actually date guys they have waited on?
