It's 86 degrees here today.
Passed the 7News building around 3:30 today and it showed a temperature of 13 degrees. Good thing I'll be stalking Heidi to Texas where it is much warmer...

Congrats to your bf Heidi!!! Grapevine is by Dallas. It looks like a nice place. It won't be as warm in Dallas as where I live. I'm about 5 hours from there. Too bad it's not closer. It can actually get pretty cold in Dallas, well for Texas. LOL. I'll try to answer any questions but I don't know Dallas really well. My bil lives close to their though.

I'm off to make a couple of mudslides. :drinking1

Well, here's some footage of the snow-in! Its a huge file, about 75mb, which means a long download, and it is in a .rar file, which needs the program 'winrar' to open. The video is coded in an xvid codec, which can be viewed by installing ffd show. Its a simple program that enables the video part of vid files to be viewed in many cases. Download the ffd show codec directly here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=1230&s=50

I've personally checked to make sure this file wont do any damage to anyones system, so if u have the fast internet connection, im sure you'll enjoy.

Here's the link to the video: http://www.robkowalski.info/vacation/snow06.rar
Save the file to your computer, install programs if you have to, and voila, (easier said than done, i know) Sorry for such a big production. However, if you'll want to view all the cruise ship videos we recorded, you'll want to have all this now!

I finally had time to d/l the program and I installed it but when I click on the link to the video it says page can not be opened. :(

Thanks Robbie!!! I WAS able to view that one!!! Did I see yellow fish?? How cool!! I would have been scared to death I would drop the video camera in the water!!! Iwish I could pull up the snow one. Anyway, you got me excited for my cruise next week.... I could feel it!!! :goodvibes

No Karen is still here. She doesn't leave until next week.

Karen - make sure you take a motion sickness pill. I get car sick very easily but when I take meclazine on the cruise every day, sea sickness has never set in for me. We take it every day whether we need it or not. I am not sure if there is an additional form that you need to fill out for Costa Maya, remember to bring bug spray and anti-itch cream just in case.

I switched between the Olympics and American Idol last night. I felt so sorry for the guy that got stuck in the elevator...at least he made it on.

Heidi that guy lives about 30 minutes away from where I live.

Man is it ever cold outside. It has remained in the single digits all day. Someone told me that we might get about 3 inches of snow tonight. What happened to all those 60's we had?

Hey all,

I am here Selena, just not had a chance to look on the computer lately, at least not this one. I just glanced at the thread here, need to do some other stuff on the computer for school, and need to make sure it is not virus infested, as is much of what I do at the school. I've been fighting IMACs at school to try and make some flyers for a Cultural festival I'm supposed to be arranging. Also a bunch of other school stuff. I'm the Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None there and had a bunch of odd stuff to do. Vendors fair for assemblies and fund-raisers, Title I night, dumpster diving for boxes for Destination Imagination, Muffins for Moms, etc....

Sandy, years ago I got a woman to appraise some stuff for me. They are not cheap, but worth the investment. You might try Tiffany's or Hyde Park to see if they have someone to suggest. I would get the stuff looked at by a pro, then you will never regret. Pros can also give good references for proper markets.

All you Denverites, my fault it snowed, it always does when I need to drive south to Cheery Creek Schools resources center. Hate the snow.

Carla

Sorry I didn't welcome you Carla. Somehow I missed your post and Heidi told me you posted. Forgive me? Thanks for the advice. I went back and read your post. Can we blame you for the cold, too? ;)

Wow no one on but me today.

Carla, I am glad you stopped in. Please come back.

We are offically finished with the performance part of the Computer Skills test. Now we are doing a Multiple CHoice make up on Monday. Then let me see..oh yeah...the IPT stuff again. What a pain. But I do love my job. We were looking at the testing schedule today and found out we literally test every week until the end of school because they threw in a field test for us to do on the Occupational kids. OH my!!!!

Karen keep on taking the meds!! Do you feel any better?

Heidi and Sandy, how much snow do you guys have?

Marcie we need you do to a ticker so we will be able to help you keep up with the amount days left until NO MORE TAX SEASON.

Jrsy you need to have a drink for all of us.....just do not think of us while you do it.... :rotfl2:

Robbie and LuLu, have you been able to shovel out yet? I heard you are in for some type of bad weather again. YUCK!!!

Let me see I have like 46 or 47 more days until my cruise. Woo Hoo!!

A countdown would be great Selena. :thumbsup2 I do have a couple of deadlines though. I have one thing due next Tuesday, a few things due Feb 28th (this is the day that all of the returns are due that were extended last year due to the hurricanes), after that the next is March 15th, that is corporation tax due date, sometimes this can be a busier time for me then April 15th. I sure hope this year goes good, but my work is really piling up now so I dont' know. Of course then there is April 15th, individual and partnership returns, and the last day I have to work overtime until next year.

Karen, you are down to just days. I hope youa re feeling better.

I just drank a malibu and pineapple juice. Now I think I'm going to go to bed, I need to get a lot of work done tomorrow.

Ah sorry aboot that! I wanted to free up some space on the server and that was the largest file I currently had on there. I'm going to start editing the original files so they'll be smaller in size and easier to view. I'll upload that original file for you, and make them easier to get in the future!

I'm glad you liked it! I wasn't too afraid of dropping the camera in the drink. For the most part its made to be water resistant, so a quick drop wouldn't harm it. I need to be less heroic with it though, as it doubles as an mp3 player also! When i wasn't filming the water, i was walking through it listening to music on it! I cant wait to go back. I've got a little surprise I'm thinking of doing, but i'll require a gps unit and a little investment! But if it works, everyone will be able to partake in it!

That's because you should be in bed at the time you were posting, not visiting the DIS!
:rotfl2: But then we would miss her!!!!!

I had a very busy weekend. Friday I did my big grocery shopping day with my mom, Saturday went shopping with Chris for new bedroom furniture and a suit for him, we found a suit for him and get to pick it up tonight. Sunday we invited ourselves to my mom and dad's usual brunch spot (Armadillos) and continued to look for bedroom furniture and found one that we liked, showed my mom and dad it and bought it and a new mattress. Very expensive weekend, but it gets delivered today!!!! I had a lot of fun spending Monday with my sister and the twins.

This weekend because it was SOOOOOOOO COOOOLLLLLDDDDD, my hot water pipe froze in the kitchen, thankfully it thawed out on Sunday and the pipes didn't bust. 2nd time I was lucky, but this time I did leave my cabinets and cold water dripping....but of course the hot water froze then!!!! Can't leave that running, that costs too much $$$!!!!! I can't believe on friday and saturday that it stayed mostly in below 0 temperatures!!!!!!! I sure hope it will be warm in Dallas when we go!!!!

I want to post but do not have time now. Just a quick hi. Be back later to catch up with everyone.

Who bought up all the King size electric blankets? :confused3 I didn't realize it was going to be such a challenge to find one.

They are not generally available in the dead of winter because all of the stores are stocking spring & summer items. We tried to find a space heater at Home Depot this weekend and they do not have any. They pulled them all so they could fill the space with patio furniture. I'm sure the store managers are thrilled that some corporate knuckleheads decided they should be trying to push outdoor items when it isn't even getting above freezing.

Luckily, we have our electric blankets and, man, are they toasty! I can't imagine being able to sleep without one!
