Sandy I am so with you. I love St Thomas. I would love to go and stay on Sapphire Beach for a week and do nothing but worry about what time I wanted to wake up the next morning...or if I wanted to take a nap.

First I want to welcome Dutchsmommy!!!! We are crazy but a tight group!!! You will love it here!
Oh... speaking of alcohol.... I wasn't? I should have been!!! I talked with my TA and asked about bringing alcohol on. I told him my 2 older kids want to bring on a case of corons and I will just have bottles, but I WILL make this thread legite and bring on cranberry and pineapple juices in the little cans (OK... were good for another 48 pages!!! )
Anyway, he said we could bring it on board as long as it stays within these dimensions: 22Wx14Hx9D so now I will go measure.
Selena ~ Man... somehow Ihave been way busy and haven't been able to share your excitement with you, but I am constantly thinking of you!!! ...
OK... yes.. I am starting to panic a bit. DH is up in Nebraska and the hurricane is coming to the Tampa area (we are JUST NE of Tampa about 6-8 miles) and my neighbor who has lived here all her life has informed me they just MIGHT be leaving. The other nieghbors are away and we live in an area where the trees are VERY high. They are all old water oaks. When Jeanne and Frances came around, we had a tree go down in our yard only breaking the fence and the arbopr we got married under. About 4 houses in our developement got hit and we had a ton of trees go down. Since then I think we had 5 trees and our neighbor had 3 trees (that would have come down on us..) removed. So... I feel a BIT safer. But I AM starting to panic a little being alone. All will be ok though.
Anyway guys... take care, I need to go do laundry, fill up water and get gas and groceries. See you soon. I will keep you posted. Karen

Karen. I know exactly how you feel, before I knew if my DH could come home to help us evacuate for Rita since he was in New Orleans, I was in a total panic. You will sure be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything we are here for you. I'm glad you mentioned juice Karen I was starting to think I was going to have to come up with a new juice question or story to tide us over a while. I bet I will be having some juice on my cruise.

Today Aerial, my DD turns 12. She is growing up. I can't wait until tonight so I can give her, her present. hehe. We are going to have birthday cake and watch the Astros! If they win one more game they are in the World Series!!!

Marcie, we have brought on wine almost every cruise and not had a problem. The PC one we took on a bottle of premixed margaritas (alcohol included). I had full intentions on shipping juice but never did.

I posted the St Thomas deal on the budget board without the TA's link. I got in trouble a few weeks ago for posting a TA's web link on a thread. Got a pm very nice explanation of why and do not do it again. Another person posted the name of the TA and I pmed her and posted not to do that or you might get in trouble. Then another mod posts it is not against rules to do this. Very conflicting information. I do not know what to do. Heck my luck I will get in trouble for trying to follow the rules

You guys are TOO good to me... like family!!! I just got back from the store and gas station. The store I was at was well stocked and had few people in it. My neighbor said she went to a different store and they were packed and so was Home Depot. So... I don't know if people ar epreparing or still prepared from last year (I still have canned food from then!!!) I go to work tonight and have off tomorrow (did I tell you I go to the Neil Diamond Concert tomorrow? Probably a hundred times if I know me!!!! ) If it looks like it is coming this way, I will board up tomorrow during the day because I have to work Fri night. I DO have off on Sat.and that is when it is supposed to hit. I will talk to my supervisor tonight an dlet her know if the weather is too bad Fri night I will not be going in because I have a 35 min ride to work and a BIG bridge to cross over. So, I am as set as I can be. Thanks guys... and I WILL keep you posted. Karen

Karen, it isn't fair. I love Neil Diamond. Wish I was going to his concert! I went for the millenium celebration in 2000. It was a gift from our girls. What a way to spend New Year's Eve!! He put on an awesome concert. Sounds like you have really thought things through and are thoroughly prepared. Don't forget batteries and water. We have time to prepare for blizzards but we don't need to do anything drastic like what all you have to do. I feel for you. Glad that you take the time to check in with us. I was thinking about you all day....kept hearing about the storm.

Marcie, I desperately need luggage. DCL pretty much ruined a couple of pieces of luggage this last time. One they repaired. Somebody told me to buy samsonite because of their warranty. He said that they just keep turning around and get new luggage from samsonite. I think I will check it out. No more Mervyns or Kohls brands that is for sure. Guess I will go check out Penneys. Great idea!

Selena, I've heard before about conflicting rules on the board. It must just be personal interpretations from the mods. On our PC cruise thread there was a big huge blowout regarding it. The crazy posters were calling the mods names and everything. SEVERAL people got banned. I just try to watch what I say or do. I love the board and will not risk anything just to prove a point. Some people are crazy and have to win. Not me!!

Sandy, I got a flyer in the mail the other day for 30 % off on jcpenney.com, it expired yesterday but it worked today. I ordered a 6 piece American Tourister that was on sale, it just looked like they were replacing it because they had a new 6 piece for full price. Anyway, I got it on sale and 30% off and paid just under $100 for it. I can't wait for it to come in now so I can start packing. Wow, I'm a nut, I will be half packed 2 weeks in advanced I bet hahaha.

I have Rickardo luggage. I love the stuff. I got hooked on it a few years back before our first DCL. I needed a new set of luggage for the trip and Costco put on sale w/coupon a set for $99. I went to Kohl's and looked at it. The largest piece there was the same price as the whole set including that same large size piece at Costco. Needless to say I went and purchased the set. Last year right before the cruise I needed a few pieces since Jeff had most of it in Florida so I went and bought a red set. I sure did not get it for $99. I think I spend about $150, but it was 60% off plus I got two duffel pull bags for free.

Sandy, I so agree with you about the mods. I would never call them names I just will not post a TA's name on here. I do not care to take the chance to be banned.

Now I am worried about Cancun being hit.....I hope it is still there for me to visit....plus Jeff told me Tom is already on call to go if the hurricane is bad. Meaning if it is bad his vacation time will be revoked. He will not allow me to go by myself!!!

Hi guys, we have the news on and was thinking of Karen. Gosh, I just can't imagine what you Southern states have to go through. Blizzards don't cause destruction, just an annoyance. All we need is food & plenty of prescriptions on had and you need so much more. I can't fathom what you have to do before and after.

Thanks for the tidbit about luggage. Both Heidi and I need to replace luggage. Both sets have a great reputation. Did either of you, Selena & Marcie, get a warranty for free replacement? I think that man said his warranty was for 5 years.

Sandy - The luggage I bought has a 10 year limited warranty. I don't know how limited though. They give you a number to call on the webpage. I didn't call, now I'm curious. I got the red luggage too

I have to say that this hurricane has me wondering about my WDW stay. I sure hope it doesn't tear too much up. Actually tonight I heard they are still unsure of it's path. I will be so glad when this hurricane season is over.
