Marcie, that is so cute about Aerial. I was like her and shy. For that matter, still am shy. The intelect part....not me. LOL You will have to tell us about the date.

Selena, great idea for Spencer's.

Denture cream....love it! Depends? How about ginko biloba (sp). Isn't that for the mind?

Thanks Jrsy for the link. I am going to figure out how to get on the email list. I do get Disney Insider but rarely read it. Bad me!

When Jeff turned 40 last May I asked him if he wanted a wooden or metal cane. He did not find it as funny as I did :confused3

Reading glasses
Viagra (sorry Sandy close your ears)

Go to Spencers and see what they have.

Jrsy - I have to do the cheesy over the hill gifts! That is just how our relationship is! i love jrsy My sister isn't doing the cheesy over the hill party so I am not sure how many people are going to get hoim the gifts (she specified no gifts on the invitation).

denture cream and reading glasses would be funny.

Oh love the denture cream idea!!:thumbsup2

But you have to keep in mind that all of that stuff is going to be thrown away. Do you really want to spend your money on trash? You need to find something more creative than the same thing everybody seems to do whenever there is a birthday that ends in zero. My friend Tim was getting the same stuff when he turned 30 that my FIL was getting when he turned 50: a cane, Geritol, Depends, etc.

What if you just gave him a bunch of things in bunches of 40; like 40 m&m's, 40 Tylenol, 40 shoelaces, 40 envelopes, etc. Then you are giving him a sense of how many 40 actually is and a real sense of his age. For Tammy's 40th, I made a bunch of little posters of stuff that had happened during the 40 years that she's been around: moon landing, CDs, disco, etc.

I LOVE your idea about the increments of 40. I think you just changed my mind and I am going with that. Thanks! :goodvibes

p.s. I love the addition that appeared when you quoted me. :thumbsup2

OMG I didn't even notice that until you said something. :lmao:

I like the increments of 40 idea too.

GREAT idea Jrsy. Creative and different! The addition to Heidi's quote is great!

That is a great idea. My uncle turned 50 last fall and my mom sent him 50 birthday cards on the days leading up to his birthday. Well, I don't think they were all technically b'day cards, but he did get 50 different cards.

Okay, I end up doing something totally silly every year during tax season once my mind is wiped out. Today, I needed to go to Wal-Mart at lunch. I didn't want to because it takes my whole lunch, but I went because I needed to buy some bubblewrap to mail my friends birthday present. So, I got the bubble wrap, wrapping paper and water. So when I get home from work, i remember grabbing the bubble wrap, because if fell out of the bag. Well, the bag was on my desk just now with the wrapping paper in it but the bubble wrap has disappeared. Okay my house is not that big, I've looked everywhere including the fridge. :lmao: I looked in my car too. How the heck does bubblewrap disappear???? :lmao: :lmao: I guess I will be spending lunch tomorrow at Wal-Mart again.

Here's the restaurant's we are going to at Disney!!! We are staying at the Beach Club Villas for 4 days then off to the new AK Villas the rest of the trip!

Ohana character breakfast
Saana, the new AK restaurant
50's Prime Time
Kona
Boma
La Cellier

We are also planning to hit up the Boardwalk Bakery, Spoodles take-out & Beachs n cream.

Marcie - did you ever find the bubble wrap? You dinner's look good. I LOVE Kona! I haven't even heard of Saana so I am looking forward to your review. Take lots of pictures!

No, and I keep just wanting to say "Where's the bubble wrap". All I can think is maybe I dropped it outside and someone picked it up. Heck I don't know.

I found out last night that my Aunt's husband was admitted to the hospital with a brain aneurysm. They are doing surgery today. She was single for 14 years and finally found the one to marry, they've been married about 2 years. So, I'm a little nervous for her.

Jeri and her husband drug me to the tattoo shop last night, i may be getting one soon. If I can get it all worked out on paper. It's going to be a tennis shoe with blue ribbons and cinderellas birds holding the ribbon. The word believe will be intertwined in the ribbons. I have the picture of the shoe and the birds but it's too big right now. I am not sure how good it will look small.

Marcie - interesting creation for a tattoo, I love the idea...wish I could be that creative and think of things like that! You have to post a picture when you can.

:lmao: Marci, that totally sounds like something I would do with the bubblewrap. Sorry you never found it.

Forgive me for being a little bit slow; I'll blame tax season, too...that and being natural blonde. Heidi, isn't Chris turning 40 this year, too? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you and your twin sister are the same age, right? And you both just happened to marry older guys who happen to be the same age?

Marcie, don't feel bad. I gave Heidi and Chris a "loaf pan" and they took it home and couldn't find it for at least 6 months.

Jrsy, you are soooo close. Chris and Richard were both born on March 15th but Chris is a year younger. Great memory!

Dang, I don't get to use the naturally blonde excuse. :lmao:

I love this idea!!!!

Jeff and I did not have a 40th bday party. I did not even tell anyone my birthday was coming up. I let them find out a few weeks later. lol

Wow you all have been chatty.

As I said I love the idea of the 40 items. What a great idea. I might have to use that in the future!!!

Jrsy don't you have a birthday yourself coming up....hmmm...... :rotfl:
