We buy the bright luggage straps and then write our name on them in marker. Love it, they always stand out. We have bright orange and also bright green. This last time coming home we forgot to put them on and it took quite a bit longer for us to spot them. Learned our lesson!

We have the luggage straps too, but we don't have our name written on it.

Do you guys do anything to your luggage to make it easy to idenify? I had bought some awesome purple hawaiian flowered luggage but it was destroyed after the second time of usage.

I have a friend who has brown luggage. At the time I did not know it but she took ribbon that was almost the exact shade of brown with green poka dots and glued it to the sides of her luggage. I thought her luggage came this way but she told me no she had bought the ribbon. lol I am thinking seriously of doing this to our luggage.
Think these are easy enough to identify?

Our third one is yellow and all three have rainbow locking luggage straps. They stand out very well considering how many people have black pull-behind luggage that all looks identical.

Jrsy, I have seen that type of luggage before. I think they are great but are they heavy before packing?

Jrsy - Glad you got Mario Kart. Depending on when you (or Brad) ride the lightrail you might run into Chris! He starts school today. I had no idea about the derailment until Chris called me this morning. He went to park at the Downtown Littleton station and saw it was all boarded up, so he was on his way to the Englewood station to park.
I generally catch the train at Oxford right around 7am. Starting tomorrow, the Oxford station will be open again. (Yay!) If he wants to catch it there, he'd have to park on the street as there is no parking lot.

No, they are very light. I can probably lift all three suitcases empty with one hand. They just aren't very stylish is all. They are more utilitarian.

I really do not want to buy new luggage. We always have ribbon on ours. You know the kind you curl with scissors. I have had some on them for years and we always find our luggage easy. I also keep my disney luggage tags on them that we have had for years. This has helped me when a man thought my red luggage with the huge white ribbon stuff on it was his. I pointed out that my disney tag was on it. He then stopped fussing. I did not have to show him my name or anything. :)

Posting from our new computer. Chris went to his History class today and it turns out to be mostly an online course. Kind of hard to be successful in class if you don't have a computer and they said it could take weeks before we get our desktop back, so we bought a Macbook. It takes a little time to get use to it, but I was taught on a mac back in high school so I am hoping I will learn quickly.

Here is a picture that Stacey sent to me from her time in Hawaii.

Joey & Tyler look so happy.

Heidi, your pictures make me cold. They are beautiful though.

We stayed at The Lodge which is a part of the hot springs pool. It was fun and they provided towels and a complimentary breakfast for us at the pool.
That is where we stayed when we took my parents up there years ago; very convenient to the pool, but we didn't get breakfast back then. I also stayed at the Hotel Denver when I was there on business. That is an eclectic place and I was not disappointed to find a brewpub in the lobby. I want to stay at the Hotel Colorado, though, because it is supposed to be haunted.

There was a recognition assembly at Alex's school and no one bothered to let us know that he was being recognized so we could show up. I still don't know what he was recognized for.

Jrsy, that is sad that you didn't get notified of Alex getting recognized for....! Hotel Colorado haunted? Yikes!

Marcie, how is your back/shoulder doing?

Jrsy - Chris and I stayed at Hotel Colorado a few years ago. The hotel is pretty cool and very old!!! We did not have any haunting experience while we were there.

That is horrible that they didn't let you know about Alex. Someone dropped the ball on that.

Heidi you must have read my mind. I was going to ask if we have more pictures of Stacey and the family. Are they home???

I love all the pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Yes, they are home now. They had a rough start once they got home because Joey was sick and then my sister and Tyler got the stomach flu for a few days, but now they are all better. Tyler had his neurologist appointment yesterday and they bumped up one of his medications to hopefully get rid of the final last little seizures he is having. The neurologist also referrred them to a speech therapist for Tyler by their house.

I had to go to speech therapy when I was in elementary school. I loved going. My children had to go as well. Mac did not start until elementary school but Erik started at 3. The public school system provides this with students that have a speech issue before school starts. I had to take him on Thursday's to an Elementary school in our district. He loved it too.

Well apparently it didn't just happen to us and the issue is going to be raised. But, we were pleased to learn that Alex received four awards! In addition to making Honor Roll with a 4.0 average, he received an award for excellence in art, one for dedication and outstanding performance in French and one for dedication and outstanding performance in Science. We're very proud!

Wow, good job Alex. :thumbsup2

I went to speech too. No one could understand me for years. Seriously, I thought it was fun too. I took it from when I was 4 through 2nd grade.
