That looks and sounds heavenly. Love that it is new. We ALMOST went to Punta Cana but the flight hours were horrible. Just seemed like we would be more in the air and airports than actually in DR. I am sure it will be MUCH different for you where you live.

Now that is funny. The flight was part of our allure. We only drive an hour to the airport then the flight is nonstop and only 3.5 hours. I guess the different parts of the country make a huge difference. We looked at Cancun and Los Cabo and Punta Cana was the best flights.

OMG Heidi, for fun I just checked prices of our Christmas cruise. They are up 1000.00. OMG!

Selena, I was getting 8 hours to 23 hours worth of flying/layover times. Man, it pays off to live on the East Coast! You can fly to the DR faster than we can to FL. Nice!

After farther research I found that Charlotte International is one of the airports that have direct flights to Punta Cana. Miami is another one. I guess it is good that I live an hour from that airport.

I am so sad for Aerial's best friend, Marci. She called me earlier because Aerial wasn't answering her phone and she was crying. So, I asked her what was wrong. Well, she heard the dogs barking and went outside, her step-dad's hunting dogs had gotten out so she went to check on her dog, opened the gate and the hunting dogs ran in and killed her dog right in front of her. Her parents were at work. So, I'm friends with her Mom and new she wouldn't mind. Aerial and I went over there and got her and I text her mom and told her I had her. Poor baby was crying so much. We fed her ice cream and now they are watching Napolean Dynamite. Her Mom is going to pick her up on her way home in a little while.

Just popping quickly. I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but the kids and I are leaving tomorrow to go to Kentucky to see my grandma. They had a mini-fall break and don't go back to school til Monday so we decided to go. They haven't seen her in a little over two years. We will fly in to Nashville and then drive to her town in Kentucky. We will stay there until Sat around lunchtime and then head back to the Nashville area to stay with my great aunt and great uncle over night and fly home on Sunday evening. I am not sure if the hotel we will be at has internet access or not. If not, I will talk to you guys on Monday.

Selena, Tyler is just ok. Still having them. They went to the specialist yesterday and she put him on another med so he will be taking 3 meds. Dr. Park said that she will address Tyler's early evening acting out and his speech later. She said her first priority is getting him under control. Stacey already has another appt in a month. Unlike the first doctor who didn't want to see him at all. I use to communicate daily with a lady from Charlotte. She was a DISer that we cruised with and stayed in communication for 3 or 4 years later. All of a sudden she disappeared. I miss her. I still can't believe how lucky you are with DR. I certainly would have gone IF the flights were better. I just couldn't feel good about a 7 day vacation spent with 4 days flight related. Just didn't make sense. I did a lot of reading on another board. They pretty much recommend staying at your resort and not venturing out alone.

Yesterday I could tell they were really healing up. Not even tender today. They are feeling a little bit yucky from the other problem I'm having. I'll be glad when I can scrub them again. As of today, no more goggles to sleep. I bought new eyeliner and mascara today. They told me to throw my other away so i don't get infection. Saturday I can wear eye makeup. Saturday night is my friend's Halloween party so it will be perfect timing.

It really is the difference in my local airport or the one we prefer to fly out of has direct flights. We actually were going to book with Costco but the flights they were going to give us were stupid crazy so we booked with Cheap Caribbean and got an extra day for about the same cost. We did upgrade for $142 to all adult area of the hotel. They have 2 oceanfront buildings that are all adult. Doing this includes a butler (have no clue what to do with a butler), 4 bottles of liquor plus the mini bar, special restaruants, 4 extra adult only bar areas (one is sunset and another is a sunrise bar), we have champagne in our room on arrival, VIP check in and a few more things. We figured it was worth the $142. We also upgraded the shuttle. I read that if you do just the basic shuttle you have to wait up to an hour for the shuttle to leave the airport. For $30 more we are doing a private shuttle. Once again we figured that it was worth the $30.

I am glad Stacey has the specialist. This one sounds like she/he cares. I am still sending you prayers.

We are lucky with Punta Cana. It all falls to where you are flying from. Is your airport an international airport? That makes a huge difference as well. You have to fly out of or thru an international airport when you go out of the country.

Jeff feels the same about spending hours and sometimes days on traveling when you are going on vacation. This is one of the main reasons this vacation appealed to us. We have had friends that have gone to PC and they loved the vacation. They say the beach is one of the best beaches in the world for water and sand.

Have I said I am excited? lol Once our cruise is over I will be over the moon excited about going on this vacation.

Marcie I am so glad all is going well for you with the surgery. I hope the scratch heals quickly for you. Jeff and Mac both have had scratches but not from surgery. I know how painful they can be. Great timing for the party too!
