lol good for you. Thanks but I hate pictures of myself. I just never take good ones. I already miss the ocean!! Our friends had offered to take us for my 4oth birthday but they have not mentioned it in a while. I am hoping Jeff will hint and we still get to go. That is in a month!! Hey while in MB I heard that if you visit Colorado you need to be very careful when you drink. Is this true? My friend told me you need to drink a glass of water per beer you drink due to the sea level of the area.

Shoot Selena, I have heard about that rule of thumb but us locals are adjusted to it so we don't do it. It probably depends on the person.

Yes it is true, it is because of the altitude. Never bothers me, but I can drink a heck of a lot more at sea level before I get a buzz.

In the last 2 days I have weeded, sprayed weed/grass killer and re-mulch 4 flower beds. I also cleaned the hot tub and weeded two more flower beds. I just have to put out the weed killer at the roots of the weeds to make sure they do not come back (it looks like rain so I can not do it now) then I can re-mulch those 2 beds. I am really wanting to get this done by this weekend.
Next week I am going to tackle painting.

I am praying that Jeff will do a little bit of work outside this weekend. The screen-in porch has a hole in it and the cats come in the porch. I do not like them in the porch. Their hair is all over my chair cushions. I want him to fix the screen and put up vinyl lattice so they can not tear another hole in the porch.

Yea, doing ok.... but now have new meaning to the term rock and roll... just about rolled out of my office at work . Have one of those slick mats that covers the carpet, so the chair was doing a major shimmy, nearly shimmed out the door !! Finally grabbed onto the desk and hung on. I was on the phone to someone in Florida and I told her to hold on, we were having a earth quake and she started to do a OMG !!! OMG!!! thing, She was more frightened that I was. Not a rough quake, but seemed to go on forever.

Am about to hit the freeway, wonder what that will be like? Keep your fingers crossed for me, the crazy people in L.A,. don't drive very well on a good day, throw in a earthquake and heaven only knows what to expect.


I am looking forward to hearing from her to see how the drive home was for her.

Selena - I also have a friend who lives in California and I called her last night too, she lives there in Corona. Her daughter started school on Monday and the school was 3 miles from the epicenter. Her daughter called her crying as this was her first earthquake. My friend said it was very scary and this one lasted a lot longer than the other ones she has been through. Of course the girls happen to be out in California as well but they are doing okay. I think Chris said they were at Sea World when it happened and it didn't really scare them. I guess these natural disasters follow the girls, first a tornado then a earthquake and I am guessing a hurricane when we go on the cruise next year!!!

Okay I will tell the story. On our last cruise, my parents, Chris and I decided to take a snorkeling excursion on St. Thomas. When coming back they served rum punch that was so good and went down so easy. My mom made the comment that she didn't think there was any rum in the punch because you couldn't taste it, and we had seconds....thirds, 4th, 5ths, it was so good. We stood up to get off the boat and that is when it hits us...boy were we buzzed (okay we were past buzzed and well on our way to drunk!!) Of course because we drank so much we had to go to the bathroom. My mom was *attempting* to splash water on her face to cool down in the bathroom and ended up soaking me and the floor. We were laughing hysterically but when we came out the guys didn't seem so pleased at us. We tried to go shopping but my mom and I couldn't handle it, my mom would lean up against a glass shelf...I would laugh uncontrollably and the guys would pull us out the store and away from each other. I was buying anything and everthying I could, so Chris made us go back to the boat and he promised me he would take me back out to go shopping after I took a nap and sobered up and didn't want to buy everything in the store. Ya, you guessed..we never went back. That is my absolute favorite story from cruising.

Jrsy how are you guys doing?

Man, I take one day off and you guys get all chatty! Tammy, Alex and I went to Elitch's mainly to do the water park yesterday. Last time I went along with them, it must have been really late in the season because the only things open were the wave pool and one of the tube rides. This time we got to ride everything and we only went out into the main amusement park for a short time. Let me tell you that if you have body image problems, you should definitely go to the water park because you will spend the whole day thinking "Hey, I don't look so bad after all!"

Not sure if my mom will post today, Chris has held her computer captive and will probably be over there all day long on her computer since ours is still broken. He has a 10 page research paper to write that is due tomorrow (his last day of class) and of course our computer broke on Monday night.
