We love our 42" Plasma! We don't have altitude issues here! LOL!
I don't know what type dh is thinking about getting for the new house -- in the media room. This tv is going into the family room.

I'll mention that one to dh -- he keeps an ongoing list of beers to try. ;) And he travels all over the place -- right now it is mostly out fo the country. He can order beer in many languages! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well I can tell him many good local ones to try around here, if he should end up in the area.

Selena, you are so correct about the lighting issue! Sorry that you aren't feeling well. If you lived here I could make you some chicken soup! Hugs.

Awww I love you guys!!! Jeff is being awesome to me. Wonder what he is up to?? lol He went to our extra fridge in the garage and brought out the new carton of OJ for me. He has brought me tissues and other things.

We have 3 windows in our livingroom that brings in lots of light. Plamsas can not take the reflection and still give you a good picture. They are nice TV's just will not work for us. We have a 42 inch LCD in our livingroom and we have a 52 inch big screen in our bedroom. lol We rarely use the big screen.

Ok Heidi. Here is the scoop. Samsung, Sony and Panasonic make the other brand TVs like Phillips, Sharp, Insignia etc. They tend to sell the better tv's under their brand name. If you want the clearest tv then buy a 1080p or 720p. Do not buy a tv with an i instead of a p for clarity reasons.

Selena, I talked to Heidi earlier tonight and she thinks she is coming down with a cold too.

Cristi, we will have to have a margarita or beer pictionary night sometime with Heidi and Jrsy.

Selena and Heidi I hope you start feeling better really soon. It's not fun being off of work and sick. As for me, it's very foggy and humid here and my throat has been bothering me. It was about 77 degrees today and Thanksgiving day it's supposed to be low in the 40s high in the 50s. So, this time of year is hard on our breathing.

Aerial left today to go camping with her Dad. I got a little sad but i'm going to be okay. I have my pumpkin pie to cheer me up. :rotfl2: Earlier today she realized Black Friday was this week and she was going to have to miss it this year. She's going to have fun though I'm sure.

I'm thinking about going get one of those keychains with the digital pictures, that have them at Bed Bath and beyond for $19.99 and I have a coupon for $5 off of any purchase over $15.

I'm sure he would love your reccomendations! He has a few favorites from around there -- in fact he used to have one of his Denver managers send him some beer! LOL! Sometimes he goes to Denver in January for the Western Market show.
As a family we try to go to Denver at least every other year -- we love visiting int he summer when it is so nice there and it is sooo HOT here! LOL! 26 yrs ago dh (and our oldest ds) lived in Denver for a year -- we lived in Wheatridge on Pierce. :) In a little bitty duplex. :)

All the windows in the family room (where our plasma is located) are shaded by our very large covered porch -- it runs the width of the house, 41'. But, if there was lots of windows with sunlight I could see the problem! We got rid of our 2 large screens this past year -- I gave one to one of my brothers and the other (they were both flat screen tube tvs with HDTV) we donated to the K of C's for Monday night Football. :rotfl: :rotfl: We thought about keeping one for our room but, in this house our room is upstairs.... There was no way dh and ds could carry over 300 lbs up our stairs (it has 3 90 degree turns!). :scared1:

In the new house either this 42"Plasma will go in our room or I will be getting a different flat panel tv for our room -- I'm the only one that watches tv in our rrom.

I hope that everyone with colds or those that are coming down with colds feel better soon!!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Wow you guys have been chatty today.

I feel awful. This cold is killing me.

 Hope you feel better soon!

So did I! My dad is retired Navy.

That sounds like LOTS of fun!!!

I hope the *feast* was fun today!!! I have a 4th grader, also -- Elvis!

My dad is retired Air Force, so is my uncle and in about 4 more years my brother will be too.:)

Okay, but everyone will need sleeping bags. No one can ever drive by the time we get finished playing. We usually play pictionary, tribond, balderdash and sometimes Scene it. We even played Jenga once. Boy that one was interesting after several drinks.

Sounds like a blast!!!! I won't need a sleeping bag because I can walk home from your house (as long as you help me jump over your backyard fence!!!)

Selena - Are you feeling any better today?

I think the huge weather change has affected me (74 on Monday and snowing today), I think I have a cold. I went to bed at 8:00 last night and slept through the night and I feel a little better.

Marcie - how was your pumpkin pie?

Mom - thanks for checking out all the TV's. I don't think we need the best of the best yet. Which one did you like better?

Heidi, I heard on the news that dropping 50 degrees so fast will indeed affect people. Maybe you are one of them and that is why you don't feel good. They also said people could get headaches. Honestly Heidi. All the tvs looked the same to me. Are the roads as icy as they look?

Cristi, I want to see Heidi climb your fence. Now that would be a good one! Make sure I have a clear bladder before you try it Heidi!!

Marcie, Heidi and I will strike out for black Friday. Don't know what time yet. Stores are actually opening at four this year. Heidi is the boss as I don't need anything that I know of. But of course, I will walk away from the day with something. By golly, I have an idea for you. Strike out after having a sugar high from pumpkin pie and perhaps you will last a long time shopping. Not only will you enjoy the pie but it will serve a useful purpose as well.

Have you seen the Disney DVD Pictionary? How much of a blast would it be if we had the two artists, Alex and Aerial, doing the drawing while we all got loaded?

I'd better get a fresh notepad and start writing down all of my favorite local beers...

Sounds like a blast!!!! I won't need a sleeping bag because I can walk home from your house (as long as you help me jump over your backyard fence!!!)
I won't need a sleeping bag, either; I plan to keep feeding drinks to Chris and Tammy, then following Heidi back to her place. ;)

Sandy, I know, isn't it crazy? I just got an email from JCPenney saying they are opening at 4 a.m. Just as well not go to sleep. I am going to do a lot of research tomorrow and figure out what I'm going to do. I'm mostly after video games.

BTW, the pumpkin pie was soooo yummy. And, it was only $2.99. I am so going to enjoy every bite.
