Cranberry or Pineapple?? Part 2

Well I finished all my shopping for Aerial except candy I will get later. I did it all online today. Now I am drinking Theraflu and maybe I will take a nap. I still don't feel too good. I hope Aerial doesn't come home from camping sick. I know it's got to be cold, she's close to Dallas and it is 49 degrees here.

I had a nice day yesterday at my Step-Mom's. The only time it really hit me was when I went to put my purse in the little bedroom downstairs. That is where my Dad used to get on the computer. When I walked in the room I could feel him. I sat down and stayed in there a few minutes. But after that I was fine. There was a houseful of people and it was nice to be around all of them. I ended up staying all day, and my step-sis sent me home with a whole pie. I planned on working out this weekend but feeling like I do I guess I will just wait until Monday.

Heidi, did you get your TV? Sandy & Selena did you make it okay?

Heidi and I are back from shopping. She picked me up at 4:30 and we stood in line at Circuit City. They ran out of her TV's. When told they were out a guy asked sarcastically how many they had "10?" and the employee laughed and said less than that. Hmmmm, I honestly think they only had about 4 or 5. Then we were told that they would have it as a special purchase and it would be shipped to us free of charge for the same price, we stayed in line. I asked two employees and they both said that was true. A little while later they said that they were wrong and wouldn't honor it. Man, what a waste of time and very disappointing for Heidi! We managed to buy a few other things at other stores so we perked up a little.

I'm so glad that you had a good day and a pie to eat all weekend! LOL! NAd you're right it is freakishly cold here!!!!! It was in the 80's for most of the week!!!!!!

Selena, I love your cooking story. It sounds just what I would love to do but don't. Jeff is a good guy! Ted gets in the kitchen and helps but we don't do all the cool stuff that you do. LOVE IT!! Hope you feel better tomorrow. I am headed out with Heidi at 4:30am. I am exhausted and going to bed now at 8:30. Nighty night.

Sandy we woke up at 2:45. I had not slept much so thought we might as well get up and go shopping. Had breakfast while out, at 6 am! We were able to get the stuff we wanted and I was back in bed by 7. Slept 2 hours then woke up, took a shower and got ready. We cleaned up the kitchen since we had just threw out packages down. Finsihed up and headed out to go to Fresh Market. http://www.freshmarket.com/ This is my favorite store but very expensive. We scored some scallops, someItalian Focaccia Bread, jalpenos stuffed olives, red pepper olives, provolone stuffed olives, grape leaves with rice and some peppers stuffed with priscutto (sp) and cheese. Very good. Also went out to lunch and on to Super Walmart for our main grocery shopping.

I took a nap then had a coffee and baileys towake me up. After that I laid out the antipasta while Jeff fixed the avacado dip. It was the best he has made yet! Drank beer with that. After we had terayki scallops. Had a nice white wine with that. After that we made some Shrimp Italino. Drank more wine. lol We should have done the shrimp first and then the scallops. Relaxed in the hot tub and then came in for dessert.

We have such a good time doing this. It is so much fun. We do not sit at the diningroom table just eat at the kitchen island. More fun this way. We also had to dance a bit. This really is a lot of fun. I know Jeff can be a pain in the bum at times but we have so much in common. I think I am lucky to still be in love with my husband after 15 years. We have worked very hard for this too. We make sure we have time alone and spend it doing things that makes us together. Not saying it has never been with out trouble. At times we have been ready to walk out but I can say those times have only made us love one another more.

I am sure once the kids are home tomorrow we will not like one another for a bit. lol Thank goodness we realize we can love each other while not being able to stand each other at times.

Heidi I am so sorry about the TV.

At our Circuit City and Best Buy they had lines around the building and that was at 3 am. Very crazy. I heard our BB had the line all the way to the next shopping center. NUTS!!!

Heidi they will have other sales. Just keep watch on them. Also after the New Year they run some awesome sales. Plus do not forget tax return time. Great sales then too!!! You will get what you want.

I am going today to pick up my new acoustic guitar. If you locals need a recommendation of a good, unknown place to get high quality guitars, let me know. It is right near my house. I had an appointment this morning to get my hair colored and cut. I got my grey colored Then I just got lowlights and kept my old highlights. Now my hair is darker for winter. Here's a pic I just took to share with you.

Hey everyone.

Watching my pitiful Panthers play the Saints.


My cold is some better. yesterday I felt great but not as good today. Erik is now getting it and there is no way I can take off this week. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow for my followup from the accident. For some reason I thought this appt was Thursday. OOPS thank goodness they make phone calls to remind you. Then Thursday I am taking a scheduled sick day to take Jeff to have two procedures done. It will be done as out patient but he has to have someone there with him because he can not drive himself home. Like I would allow him to go without me. After all they do have to put him to sleep. I have known someone who went in for a very simple procedure who died. There is just no way I allow my family now to have surgery without me being there. I took time off with my dad last year when he had to go into the hospital and I will take time off in Feb with my mom when she has her third knee replacement.

Funny story....Jeff got the mail yesterday and without thinking I opened the box that came in the mail since it was too me. As soon as I opened it I saw bubble wrap. I instantly stopped looking and closed the box to see who it was from. It was my Avon order. lol I felt so stupid. I am waiting on an ebay purchase that I bought a month ago and just thought finally it had arrived. The lady I bought from was so nice. She contacted me and told me that she mailed it but the tracking number does not show it as arriving. She asked what I wanted to do. I told her I wanted the product. That was a week ago. I am hoping I get it soon. It is for my cruise.

Selena - I can't believe you are still sick. I hope you feel better soon. You and Marcie can't be sick at the same time!!!! I love your description of you and Jeff's relationship. That is great you are still in love. Chris and I never cook together because our kitchen is way too small, but we actually did cook together on Thanksgiving and we had so much fun bumping in to each other.

No TV, I was so bummed...but still had a fun time. Selena - I am hoping you are right and that I can find a good deal. The TV was 50% off and I would have saved $1200 so I am going to be checking on TV's like a mad woman!!!

Had a great weekend and Thanksgiving. My mom and I made it through our traditional black friday shopping experience. We made it to 8 stores (including the mall) and breakfast before 10:00am!!!

This weekend we had the girls and we put up our Christmas decorations.

After having 4 1/2 days off from work, it is hard to get motivated again to work 5 days this week!!!!
