Cranberry or Pineapple?? Part 2

I could not sleep well Thursday night so I stayed up late watching movies on the TV.

Friday we woke up and went to the diningroom for breakfast. I was not too impressed with the breakfast but then again I was comparing it to RCI. It was a nice breakfast just a little different.

After we ate we walked the ship some. Time really flies by quickly. We went to the shopping talking hoping to win something but we did not win a thing.

After that we had lunch. We opted to not get off the ship in Freeport.

We just hung around and browsed and watched movies.

We had pizza for lunch. They good pizza. I fixed a raspberry vodka and oj to drink. Then later took a nap.

Over all Friday was a nice lazy day.

Friday was Captain's Table night. I wore Mac's dress I bought her for the last cruise. It looked dang good on me too.

The lobster was wonderful!! The desserts were outstanding.

We went to the casino for a while after dinner. I think we did go to bed around 1 am that night.

Wow Selena....wearing Mac's dress, I bet you looked great. I love it now that my mom and I can switch clothes!!!! Have you ever been to Freeport before? I actually liked it when we went there. My mom stayed on the ship, but my bf at the time and I went off and went to a beautiful hotel and played around on their beach!

Heidi's right. I didn't get off the ship in Freeport. It was my second cruise and really didn't know too much about getting off the port and grabbing a taxi. It made me nervous. Believe you me now. I can do anything in port now. I remember being so nervous watching her leave. I am such a nervous nellie.

I am so nervous. I don't know if you remember, but last year Chris's dog was attacked by a poodle and had to have stitches put in, well there was one "puncture wound" that they couldn't get to because it was too close to her eye. Chris went home today and saw a huge hole under her eye at the same location, he says it is the size of a dime but may be exagerating because of the shock. He said the hole is all the way down to the flesh, he is taking her to the vet right now. I am so nervous. Last procedure cost a lot and I am hoping they can do something for her or maybe it isn't that big of a deal. Please send pixie dust our way for Sable.

Update on Sable: The vet is stitching her up and she has to wear a cone again!!!!! Thank goodness she is okay. I think Chris was panicked and over exagerated and made me 10x more scared with his description!!!!!!! She should be out or surgery in an hour, but they need to observe her after the anestecia (sp) but it is good news that we will get her tonight. Last time she was gone for 2 nights :(

EEKK!!! I'm glad she's going to be ok!

LOL! My 23dd si the same size I was until I was almost 40 and I never want to see that size again -- 2 - 4. My 15dd has quite a large chest compared to her older sister and myself that we will never be able to share clothes. :lmao:

I am not nearly as small as I use to be. I have put on a few pounds since Thanksgiving that does not want to come off.

I started walking again tonight and I will try to eat a little better. I think it is an age thing though. I would be happy to lose 5-10 lbs though.

Pixie dust to Sable. :tink:

I love to be able to share clothes with my daughter. She finally got big enough to share with me. lol She is 14! lol

Well my sweet Sable drove us nuts last night. She was drugged up when we got her and she laid down and slept for most of the night, until it was time for us to go to bed. We have to keep the cone on her because she keeps scratching....well she isn't supose to go on stairs without us but managed to while we were asleep and then whined because she couldn't get back up!!! So I woke up, brought her back upstairs and closed the bedroom door. Well the little turkey figured out how to squeeze her head out of the cone twice....so now we have a big problem on our hands.

Poor Sable. I hate those cones but it does keep them from doing something they do not need to do.

OK back to my trip report.

Saturday was Nassau day.
We had beautiful weather. Very nice. At Nassau we had a free excursion which was a tour of the city. It was nice but I would not do it again. I enjoyed the tour a lot but I would think it would be boring to do it again. Kind of been there done that attitude.

We did have a great time at Atlantis and thought about saying but decided we were hungry and wanted to eat at a place off of Bay Street.

Before we made it to eat we did a little shopping. Took care of the kids.

Then we had lunch at a nice little place upstairs (the place off of Bay Street) and if you hit it right you can sit on the balcony over looking the street. We sat at the outside bar. First we were put at a inside table because we were told there were no outsides available. We sit and another group come in (4 people) and they are getting ready to go outside. Jeff said something rather load about that not beng fair. lol Instantly the waitress heard it and waved us on instead of that group. lol They had a local singing and strumming. It was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place to eat lunch. It is the Iguana but some were calling it the Green Iguana. We shared a Blackened Grouper sandwich. It was wonderful!

After we made the huge mistake of buying me a ring. Now do not get me wrong this ring is gorgeous but when we got home and had it appraised the ring is not anywhere near the price we paid for it! We are in the process of trying to find out our recourse now. Do not listen to how the cruiseline backs you up when you shop at their places. This was one of their places all they back up it what you buy not the price. The company is based in NY and we are waiting on a phone call now to see about the 30 day return and exchange policy. Jeff called yesterday and no reply yet. I am going to have him call again today when he gets home.

After buying my ring we headed to Senor Frogs. We had a blast there. We talked with alot of people next to us and played several games. The staff just got to where when they needed someone to play a game they came and got us. It was fun. We had free drinks for all the people around us and necklaces.

I have to be honest we over did it there though. I have no clue how we made it back to the ship. I do know we got back on before dark and I did go eat in the diningroom. I was all alone at the table. Jeff did not want to go. We were sitting at a table for 10. lol Finally Jeff showed up and I had company. I came back to the room and passed out.

I am not normally a huge drinker. I rarely drink more than a couple fo drinks a day on vacation.

I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling to well. I took my goody powder and tried to drink some coke. BIG MISTAKE. Never got sick but I think I would have felt better if I had. lol I finally found my one ear patch we took with us (sea sickness patch) and planted that baby behind my ear. Well I know now those things work for hangovers! I was better in 15 minutes and was able to go to sleep.

Selena, it surprises me that the patch worked for hangovers. What a good discovery. On our 3rd DCL cruise we hooked up with several DISers and one of them is a registered (licensed, or whatever) gemologist. He explained all about the tactics of the jewelry stores in ports. We no longer look at jewelry. I am so sorry for your hastle. i sure hope it turns out ok.

Hey Heidi, guess who I bumped into today.

My mom is stalking my fiancee!!!! That is who she bumped into today.

Selena - that is horrible about your ring. Keep us updated about that, I would be interested to see how they toake care of this problem for you. If I know I will be drinking a lot, I always take Chaser's beforehand so I don't have a hangover. I learned that trick in Las Vegas!!!! My best friend and I bought chasers but forgot to take them BEFORE we started to drink at the pool. Well with drinks and the hot sun in Vegas, we got buzzed pretty quick without realizing it. When we got back to our room I took the Chasers anyway and my BF didn't and guess who got sick and had a hangover......not me!!!! Love Chasers!!!!

Our 26ds bought a ring for a *friend* while we were in... Antigua (?) or one of the ports in Sept... and I KNOW he got taken! I wish Ihad been with him when he bought it --- I wouldn't have paid $100 for the ring and he paid LOTS more then that!!!!
