but Tammy wouldn't let me walk to the light rail station.
That's a good wife!!!! Chris drives for his job so I am worried about him today, thankfully it is his easy day and he stays close to home on Thursdays.

It sure it coming down. This would be a good day to stay home and watch movies. Too bad I have an eye appointment this morning. They are going to dialate my eyes so it should be fun driving home. :3dglasses :drive:

My goodness the kids were crazy today. I even let them play outside. Their mom just picked them up and it was so chaotic. I had to laugh. I told her that I wasn't laughing AT her however. It was a great relief to say goodbye. Shame on me!!

No sun at our house yet and it is 3:30. Maybe tomorrow.

Just wanted to post the schedule so it's easier to find. Sandy & Heidi, don't forget to add to it with your cruise for next year.

Guess what...it won't be long and I may be booking my cruise for next year. Carnival in Galveston. Probably just the 4 day to Cozumel but I am excited.

Hi everyone.

I have been laid out with a nasty cold that I just can't seem to get over. I was sent home early today. Well kind of alot of people at work said I looked bad and when I told them I was running a fever they said I should go home. I finally took their word for it at lunch and came home. I just woke up from a nap. I feel a tad bit better with having the nap and all.

This time next week I will be sitting in Raleigh waiting on my plane to go to Miami. Woo Hoo. I am so excited.

Did we sit a time in which we are to have our ornaments mailed by or when our virtual party will be?
I am going ornament shopping Saturday, oops that is tomorrow.

Selena - I hope you feel better. Were you able to recover from your sickness over the weekend? I believe we are supose to send the ornament out by November 27th, and for the virtual party I am not sure if we even set a date. I am free pretty much anytime!!!! I really hope you are feeling better so that you can get ready to pack for your cruise!!! I can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Selena, I hope you are feeling better. The carribean sun will be good for you. :goodvibes

Well I said I was going to wait to buy a new car but Dane decided to pay the down payment for me so Saturday I went car shopping. I am getting a brand new fully loaded Honda Civic today!!! It's Royal Blue. I wanted that color so that's why I had to wait. I am still very nervous about it but excited too. This is my very first brand new car. :goodvibes

Yay Marcie!!! That is exciting news, I love new cars!!!! I remember the feeling of being very excited but also very nervous!!! The Honda Civic is an awesome car. I have heard nothing but great things about it. Just wait till you get the car and then have to look back several times as you are walking away from it and knowing that is your new car!!! Congratulations!!!!! When you say fully loaded, what does that include? When I bought my brand new car I did everything but the leather seats!!!!

My first brand new car was a 1992 Honda Civic. I drove it until about two years ago, 129,000 miles on it, then bought a 1993 Honda Civic that had only 15,000 miles on it! Long story. In any case, both cars have been really reliable, great mileage and inexpensive to maintain. It just isn't a car to try to drive through the mountains, which you shouldn't have to worry about.

We also have a truck and my DH's fancy sports car (his race car I call it). So, if we go through any mountains we will take the truck. :goodvibes I really don't drive too much anyway, it will take me forever to put miles on it. But, the good news is we can now use it as the family car and I don't have to worry about what DH does to the race car.

It's not FULLY loaded, I didn't get the navigation system and no leather seats. I have leather seats now in my ford but that's okay to not have. I am getting the sunroof, the radio that is hooked up for satellite, it also has a jack built in to plug in my Ipod. The volume controls are on the steering wheel, and 16" alloy wheels, oh and it has an extra power jack. I am just waiting patiently for them to call and tell me it's ready to pick up. :goodvibes

We are all dressing up at work tomorrow and everyone is trying to think of costumes they can make from things around the house so we don't all have to buy something. I came up with being a catholic school girl, since Aerial goes to catholic school I can just wear her uniform and have a backpack and my ipod with my headphones coming out of the backpack. OH and a bow in my hair. I have to think of more props. Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to wear knee highs too and tennis shoes.

How am I supposed to concentrate on work now?

:rotfl: :lmao: poor Jrsy.
...and poor every-guy-in-your-office...and poor Dane, who will be so conflicted if you tell him that you are wearing Aerial's clothes.

When we went out downtown this weekend I was going to wear my pirate costume but decided I didn't want beer spilled on it, so my best friend, her cousin and I put on devil horns!!! Sorry Marcie, I am not very creative. Tomorrow I was thinking about wearing my Tigger costume, but the outfit includes a mini skirt and I don't think they would let me wear it to work. Maybe I will just put on the Tigger ears and leave it at that!!!

Congrats on the new car, Marcie. I bet you are so excited!! I am with Heidi. When you get a new car you have a tendency to walk to your destination looking backwards at your new investment. Just don't be so bad that you walk into something.

I thought that we could open gifts on Dec 11th. I bought my gift today!!! The mailing is the tricky part for me!

Jrsy, I love your quote in your signature. How true!

Oh and I edited my first post on the first page to include Cosmo's itinerary. If you book a trip or want him for another reason just bring it to my attention so that I can keep it up to date.

I need some advice from you guys. What would you do in this predicament? Believe it or not, Best Buy dropped our computer in transit between the company that works on the computers with extended warranties and the store. The store sent it back and the other company can make the decision to replace the computer or fix it. After all the problems we have had and them dropping it, they STILL fixed it and was shipped back to the store today. In the meantime, I talked to the store service manager about the situation. He said what he could do was to take copies of all of our service records and see what corporate can do. He said it would take about 4-5 days and today is day 11. Would you take possession of the computer or wait until corporate responds? I am afraid that if we take the computer home that we have lost all bargaining tools. What would you do??

It was dropped again???? :confused3 I would not take it home until corporate responds. Maybe they will do the right thing and give you a new computer. :goodvibes

Mom - do not pick up the computer, refuse to pick it up because it was dropped. If you take it back then it looks like you accepted the fact that they dropped it. Keep calling the manager and remind him how this computer has been with them (since before vacation) which is almost 2 months. Stay strong and verbal.
