Jrsy, you weren't wearing paisley were you?
I can't believe that story about your dog- I bet you thought you left that kind of stuff behind in Jersey.
I can't believe it rained by you guys, too. Did it rain everywhere? It was pouring here- yesterday and today! Oh, well. Yesterday we had a barbecue with my parents. Of course it began to pour as soon as my father and Robbie went outside to grill, lol. It let up after they came inside though.

After dinner, Robbie and I sat outside and watched/listened to all the illegal fireworks going off in our town. We heard ones at a distance down by the water and we could see the ones from two houses - both about 1-2 blocks away. Only in Jersey are fireworks illegal, yet you can see and hear them for hours. It's so funny.
Marcie, I'm glad you had a great time at the game. Your picture is adorable! I'm glad the rain held out a little.
Sandy, I'm glad you got to enjoy the grandbabies.
Thank you everyone for your Anniversary wishes! It was a nice day together. Robbie brought me this huge bouquet of tropical flowers and some other stuff when we said we weren't doing gifts. I felt bad since I only gave him a card, but that's ok. They're really pretty.
I have a new addiction- in the classroom I use for summer school, the teacher must have a nutrition plan or something because she has a scale. I get in early to weigh myself before school starts. Now, I don't know if her scale is off, or if I just weigh less because it's morning, but it's two to three pounds less than my scale at home. So, of course, I have to check it out and tell myself that this is the correct one, and mine at home is just wrong, lol.
Anyway, light cranberry juice with the Island Bacardi Breeze and pineapple syrup isn't bad, but it doesn't taste the same as the real thing.
I have a recipe for pina coladas from hungry girl that I'm going to try this weekend.
Here it is:
Hungry Girl's 100-Calorie Pina Colada Freeze!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Bacardi Island Breeze Coconut Rum
1 1/2 oz. Sugar Free Coconut Syrup (the recipe uses Toriani but I have Da Vinci)
1/4 cup light Vanilla Ice Cream (Breyer's Cal Smart or another with under 140 calories per 1/2 cup)
1 Tbsp. crushed pineapple in its own juice
3/4 cup crushed ice
1 packet Splenda
Put all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds. Pour. Then share this recipe with everyone you know!
*Each Pina Colada contains approximately 100 calories, 1.5g fat, 12g carbs, 2.5g fiber, 1.5g protein (1.5 - 2 points)
Yum!
Anyway, I have to get to bed. We are being monitored by the state (yes, of course this part of our state would still be running when everything else is shut down.) tomorrow and I am petrified. I hate being watched- it makes me paranoid that I'll make a mistake. I hope they don't even visit my classroom- there are like twenty others, maybe they'll go there instead. lol
I have a lunch date with a friend from high school tomorrow. She is pregnant and I haven't seen her since she became pregnant (she's about 4 months along now) I will definitely update tomorrow.
You all take care!!
