Jrsy you will love EE. I truly loved it.

I agree with you on the sake. I think it would depend on the kind you have. At Kiminos at the Swan I asked about it and our server brought me a sample. I liked it and it was only $7 for the bottle. It was good. To me it was like warm water with a bit. Nothing to write home about but it was good never the less.
I wish I could remember the brand name of what we tried, but this particular restaurant would serve a "flight" of sake, which was samples of several different grades. Even the lower grades of this particular brand were still pretty good. They also said to make sure if you are having plum wine that it is actually "plum wine" and not "plum flavored rice wine."

OK I am sorry but sushi in NC just can not compare to Kiminos at the Swan. It was nothing like that sushi. lol I guess that one trip has spoiled me beyond belief. Go figure.

What am I on Sunday now for my trip report???

When I got up this morning I reminded the kids that we were standing in line at AK last Saturday morning. Well actually I had been up a while and was getting ready to go to the Spa.

Sunday.

We got up early like we did on Saturday. We were at MK at 8:15. We did not realize that we could go on in but property ticket holders could go and they had one land open too. I forget which one. My bad. It is the one with the fair rides. I know I am bad. I am going to say something worse too. MK is not my favorite at all. Now do not kill me everyone. We got there but could not go to Space Mountain until 9. Of course we walked around a while and then went to wait. We were able to ride SM twice in a row and get a FP for a third time. The third time was for 10 something. We rode it first and then we rode Splash Mountain. We all got wet. I mean we were in the front! What were my kids thinking???? lol

Then on to Big Thunder Mountain. We stopped at Pirates of the Caribbean too. I liked the new changes a lot. Very nice! When we came out they had a show with Capt Jack going on so the kids ran over there and were able to be included in the show. They both have an offical pirate certificate now. They loved that. One lady was so nice. Mac and I went to the show while E and Jeff were shopping. When Erik go there he could not see because he could not get close enough. He said I can not see. The lady in front of him instantly moved and let him go in front of her so he would be on the front row. I thought that was so kind. I rarely see that anymore. I wanted to hug that lady for doing that!! They both loved being involved in this little street show with Capt Jack.

Then we went for a Dole Whip. OMG I did not know they had closed this down!!! I was SO disappointed. I was looking forward to a Dole Whip Ice Cream Float!!!!

We then headed to Haunted Mansion. Remember how I said I hate dark rides??? Well slow dark rides. I hate this ride. But my sweet daughter had to ride it so we rode it.

We went back to use our FP for SM and then left. We stopped at the McDonald's for lunch. I liked that MickeyD's. I ordered a parfait and did not realize it is a huge version and it was $3!! I did not eat all of it. And I would not have ordered it if I had known it was super sized version of the one I get here in NC for a dollar. Just too big for me.

We went to MGM then. Had planned on going back to the hotel but we were afraid if we did that we would get there to late to ride the two rides we like. We got a FP for RnRC and then we got in line for RnRC and it took over an hour to ride it. WOW!! We could have literally gotten in line to us our FP as soon as we got off. Instead we went to ride ToT. Rode it and then went back to ride RnRC and got another FP as soon as we could for it. ToT was not busy at all. We literally rode it and got back on it three times. But RnRc was way packed. We were for lucky the first two times we asked for the front. We were given it. But on the third time the girl was very rude to my kids when they asked for the front. Now mind you this lady had just let two people in front of us go to the wait line for the two front seats. When my kids asked she told them very nastily NO. They could not ride in front they had to get in the back. Then I stepped up and said excuse me they were just allowed to ride in the front earlier on this ride. She said well she was told they could not do it and she was not letting them. Very nasty ugly person working there. Which is the first time I have ever dealt with anyone that works there that was nasty. But it really upset me because she had just let two adults go up but when my kids asked she told them NO!! I told her I wanted to talk to a manager. I mean why were two children treated that way when she had just allowed two adults to do it!! The manager she sent me to had no problem with it at all. She told me to tell the girl that had told my kids no that it was fine. We did and she still gave me grief!! She let us though. But do you know as soon as we were in line for the first two car seats she allowed a couple (adults mind you) get in the front when they asked. I am still upset over it. Mainly because she was refusing two children and was not refusing adults but those two children were MINE!! lol I also was upset because I knew this was our last ride for our trip and I hated that all of us had that ruined.

After riding our last ride, we went to get a drink. I have to say I needed that drink pretty badly at that moment. I was still very upset. That bartender was so slow. We had 3 people a head of us and it took us 20 minutes for a beer and one mixed drink. I had disney's version of a long island ice tea. While waiting in line it started to rain. I was so glad we were under cover and kids were at a table under cover waiting on us. We had our drinks and then headed for dinner at Hollywood and Vine. We arrived on time but had to wait to be seated. Which was not bad and not long of a wait.
I have to say I was not impressed with this meal for the money. I did not like it and left hungry. We did have tickets for fantasmic but were just too tired to stay.

We did go back and swim. Well the kids did and Jeff and I soaked in the whirlpool. It was a nice soak and it help to ease the aches and pains away. I loved the fact that while soaking we were able to see the fireworks from I guess Epcot. It was in that direction so I think it must have been from there. Very nice to soak and watch fireworks and not have to be in that crowd.

Over all we had a wonderful time for my birthday. It was a nice vacation but if we do a quick trip like this again it will have to be that we only go to two parks. I really would like to go back to the hotel for a bit then go back for the shows. But we were so tired that by 5 all we wanted was food and bed.

I am so happy!!

Yesterday I was thinking about our trip to Miami for our cruise in November. I got to thinking we leave out of Raleigh-Durham bright and early Saturday morning. In order to talk Jeff into letting us arrive early Saturday and taking the early flight down to Miami I had to promise him we would stay over night in Raleigh. Raleigh is an hour and half from our home. If you take the drive time and extra time you have to be at the airport we would have had to leave at 4 am from our home to get to Raleigh on time for our flight Saturday. So you see Jeff's mind frame on why we should stay over night in Raleigh. With that thought in mind I am thinking how dumb am I. I mean I am having to pay for a hotel room in Raleigh. Why not go ahead and fly down to Miami the night before. What more could it cost? Right? I am already paying or a room. It will not cost me anymore.

Let me say I am doing all this thinking while on the phone with Janet. After getting off the phone I could not talk to Jeff about it because he was mowing the lawn. I honestly forgot about it until we were laying in bed last night. Mind you that was very late and I am very tired. I mention it to him. Jeff was very interested in doing this.

First thing this morning I wake up and get on my handy dandy computer here and check all my thoughts out. Mind you we had already purchased our air several months back. I was happy with the price we got. I am thinking we will lose our bums on the change but no we did not. I was in shock to check out the air for the time we could go to be half the cost of what I had paid already!!! Just by leaving a day early I could save so much money. But I am not sure how much the cost would be to change my air. We are looking at a saving if I had only thought of this early for $600!! I called American Airlines and was surprised to find that it was only going to cost me $200 to change our flight. Meaning a $400 savings! Plus on top of that I was able to get a refund instead of a credit for the airline. I am getting a $400 credit back on my credit card. I am so thrilled.

Our room in Miami was with rewards points for Saturday night. It was not costing us anything. I call Hilton and find that we can get Friday night for free too!! Plus even better it wasnot going to take 30,000 points for Friday night like it did for Saturday night. It was only going to be 20,000 points for a Friday night.

Hi all! Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been reading just not posting. I have been a little bit out of commission, at least for typing. Back before we went to WDW I had been working in the garden (really about 4 different veggies, that really weren't doing well) and afterwards noticed a prick on my finger (it looked like either something stung me or I got poked by something). Well, I cleaned it up, put some neosporin on it and went on my way. It didn't bother me at all while we were on vacation, but sometime after we got back I hit my finger on something and it really hurt. It still was only a little red and no streaking or anything, so I am thinking no infection. It was sore when I bumped it, but I wasn't going to the doctor for this little bitty red spot on my finger. Well, about two weeks ago I noticed a big bump on my arm above my elbow on the inside of my arm. Kind of felt like a marble in there. I thought I would watch it for a few days to see if it went away ( in the back of my mind though I am thinking tumor.) Well, one night it woke me up when I rolled over because it hurt so bad. I made a Dr appointment the following day. Went to the internist and after looking in some books she though that it might be a fungal infection that I had gotten in the garden, came in through my finger and was now causing inflammed lymph nodes. She didn't want to start me on an anti-fungal though until I saw a dermatologist and got a biopsy on it to make sure what it was. They couldn't get me in to the dermatologist until this past Wed. I went to work for a couple of hours and then went to the appt, with the full intent of returning to work when I got done. I saw the PA at the dermatologist and she thought it was probably bacterial, but she had the doctor come in and look. She thinks it is probably fungal, but we still need to do the biopsy. Boy, talk about PAIN! They numbed it up before they did it, but as soon as the numbness went away it hurt really bad! So, now it doesn't feel so bad and I can type again. I haven't heard back about the biopsy results yet, but they did put me on an anti-fungal(am supposed to avoid alcohol) and an anti-biotic just in case. I have been really tired for a few weeks now, so I guess I know why. And now the medicines are giving me headaches.....

Sorry this is so long....

Marcie, how is your foot doing? That is good you know what it is now. Any ideas on how it happened?

Selena, sounds like you had a good time on your trip other than that rude CM. Too bad about that. I would have been ticked off too. That is great you saved so much on your airfare!!!

Jrsy, yes it's the velcro kind. Here's a picture of that Aerial took in Austin yesterday.

Selena, that is great that you are saving so much money. Your trip will be coming up before you know it.

Cristi, I hope they get down to the bottom of your finger. You sound like me not going to the doctor. If I would have had a clue it was broken I would have pushed harder to get in earlier. The good news is I only have to wear this cast for 3 weeks, it could have been 6 if I would have gotten in earlier. :rotfl2: Looking back the only time I remember falling is on the Regatta when I fell across the boat and cut my finger. If that's not when I did it then I have no idea.

We ate at Kobe's while we were in Austin. It's a hibachi grill. The sushi was awesome there!!! Didn't get Saki though. We also rode downtown and on 6th street. There were people everywhere with orange & red shirts on because of the game last night. It was fun to see.

While I'm in photobuckets I'm going to post a picture Aerial drew on Paradise Point in St. Thomas.

Okay I'm outta here, I'm thinking of going into work today. :confused3 I have a lot to do before Friday.

Cristi please let us know when you hear something. I am sorry this is going on with you.

Marcie how cute and stylin you look. lol It is a cute picture.

Ariel did a great job. Isn't her birthday coming up? I was thinking her birthday is after MacKenzies.

I hope Jrsy is not working too much overtime still!

Sandy and Heidi we miss you.

One of my friends suggested me using the $400 towards cruise credit on my seapass card. It is a good idea.

Only four hours last week and it was all meetings. The meeting on Wednesday that was supposed to run 1:30 - 4:30 actually went until 6:30.

Marcie, my DW had one of those back when we first met. It was the first time I'd ever seen one and would have been great when I broke my ankle back in college.

Cristi, anxiously awaiting the results of you biopsy...

Jrsy don't you think that boot is sexy? Marcie is stylin it too!!

Hope everyone had a great Monday. :cool1:

Hi guys! Haven't heard anything about the biopsy yet. But if it is a fungus they take forever to grow on a culture (I'm a med tech). I am still just taking the two different meds they have me on. My lymph node seems to be getting smaller now which is good. I am still tired, but I don't feel as bad as I did.

Wow, it sure is quiet around here without Sandy and Heidi....... :ssst:

How is everyone doing?

It is apparently my week for computer tragedy. My 20GB portable hard drive/MP3 player has been acting up so I have been preparing to back up the important stuff. Unfortunately I didn't get to it before it all went "Kablooie!"

I've been trying to recover some of the data, but not having much luck. Looks like mostly mp3s survived, which doesn't matter because all of them are saved elsewhere. Work files are also saved elsewhere. Important photos are mostly saved at home except ones that I got via email - they may be gone for good. I haven't thought of anything yet that I absolutely cannot do without, but I am still frustrated.

Got my DCL Travel Kit in the mail yesterday, which brightened things up just a bit. Didn't realize until yesterday that we are sailing on SuperBowl Sunday. What am I going to do if the Giants make it? Ah, who am I kidding?

That is too bad Jrsy. What is it with all of the computer problems lately? :badpc: Since we had our crash last month, DH has set it up to back things up on a weekly basis.

Well,I am off to see if I can find DS a new shirt and tie. He wants to wear that again for picture day and I don't want the same one as last year.

I've been really swamped at work, I've been working some overtime. Aerial is home sick today, she's going to the doctor in a little while and I'm not feeling the best either. :confused3 I've been trying to stay off my foot which is very hard because I never sit still. Maybe this weekend I will get out and get me a new book to read while I take it easy. Crazy week for me. Oh guess what, Aerial and I both got shore survival kits from DCL yesterday. They have the CD with screensavers and stuff but I haven't had time to look at them.

Jrsy, I hate when that happens :badpc: Computers are good for raising blood pressure.

Crisit, how is your finger? I hope it's healing.

Selena, I just remembered that you asked me a while ago if Aerial's birthday is soon. Yes, Oct. 19th she will be 13. We are taking her and a few friends to the hibachi grill and get sushi. I can't say what I'm getting her in case she reads this. What did you get Mackenzie?

What did I get MacKenzie for her birthday. A digit camera. That is what she asked for.

Alex will be 10 on October 18th...and they're both artists...hmmmmm.

That's interesting. What does he want to be when he grows up. Aerial wants to major in computer graphics, her dream job would be either designing the graphics for video games or a comic writer.

Selena, a digital camera is a great gift. Did she bring it to WDW and take some good pictures?

The doctor says Aerial has strep throat and a sinus infection. :confused3
