DH is off to a conference in a couple of weeks: you know the type - meetings and seminars all day and then long, boring business dinners each night!

However, he has promised to escape to go shopping! He knows where 'Bath and Bodyworks' and 'Yankee Candle' are from previous visits ;) and we have located Walmart but I was wondering if anyone knows of a cardmaking supplier in the area (he has no transport!) I am interested in Quickutz and general cardstock etc - It is sooooo expensive here :guilty:

Many thanks

Where exactly will he be? There are no real scrapbooking stores in Boston proper - they're all in the suburbs, but I don't think there's a Walmart in Boston proper either so maybe he's staying outside the city?

There is one store - Paper Source in Boston - that has some scrapbook stuff but not a lot. That's the only store with the city. www.paper-source.com :-) If he's staying outside of the city there will be a few more choices. Let us know and us locals can make some suggestions.

Thanks Guys. I think he is staying in the city but decided he'd have to get a taxi to go shopping. I'll check when he gets home and post back :thumbsup2

He is staying in Westin Copley Place so really near Paper Source (thanks :))
I'll send him to check it out.

Anymore vaguely local?

Thanks very much

Unfortunately there aren't any stores in the city. There's Right At Home in Attleboro, but that's pretty far. Sorry.

No problem (DH sighs with relief!) I'll just have to order extra from Paper Source, B&B and Yankie Candles :teeth:

Thanks for you help

I don't know if you thought of this but you can always buy online and have it shipped to your husbands hotel. might save on shipping to you..I will even be able to buy from my LSS and ship it to the hotel if you wanted something special.

Thank you Marissa :goodvibes On-line might be a plan!

I'll have a think and let you know if I need any help! Not sure what I want as I don't NEED anything but you can never miss an opportunity ;)

Thanks once again for your kind offer :thumbsup2

duplicate post whoops :teeth:

In the Prudential Mall, which is connected to Copley Place via a covered walkway, there's a store called Papyrus (hmmm, it doesn't look as though I've spelled that correctly...) that is a stationery store that does sell lots of embellishments. The Barnes and Noble bookstore, also in the Prudential Mall, has a small but nice section for scrapbookers, including albums and embellishments and little things. There is also a Levengers, which is a stationery/datebook kind of store, but again they do carry things like nifty types of paperclips and other items.... Tell him to enjoy some time strolling through the mall and checking out these spots and to surprise you with some goodies!

Well DH arrived home this morning with a nice load of goodies :Pinkbounc (felt like Christmas!) I had some lovely pens, cardstock and envelope templates, candles and soap (and secret deoderant which you can't but here now!) DD had some great Dora stuff and a 'Go Diego Go' DVD and DS a great Red Sox Dungarees set and a bib! DH got shoes and shirts and Jelly Beans and got to a Star Wars exhibition at the Science Centre

So thanks guys for your help - he decided that the conference was worth attending so hopefully he'll go next year as well (better start the shopping list now :))
