Boy was my Vacation Countdown Delight just ruined! .... I just called the resort we will be staying at POFQ the phone went right into a que and was playing some FUN New Orleans music WAY COOL: , and it keeps you in the mood, I know that everyone has a bad day once in a while ........I get it...........Really I do......However, I just called to ask 2 questions....1st couldn't remember if there were hair dryers? an 2nd if I ship a box ahead of time w/ my toiletries in it, will it be at the guest services or do I have to wait on the delivery to my room ? The man who answered was so depressing, first he answered the phone like he lost his best friend , lets call him Eeyore He then answered my questions....and then he sharply yelled IS THAT IT! YIKES! I said yes sir.... Ok, I needed to just vent a little and needed to get back into Disney Magic MODE!! Well everyone have a GREAT and FABULOUS DAY!!!!!!!

The same thing happened to me yesterday when I called the PO resorts to ask whether they really have eliminated the caffeine-free Coke products from the food courts. Wow - the CM at POR just about took my head off!

I am the BIG SICKO that is too overly OCD about vacation. Yes, I am packed! I actually started about 2 weeks ago, but have been buying stuff for months. I usually pack what is going then I start unpacking a week or two before the trip, by this I mean taking out the way to much extras we all pack. This year we are sending all of our toiletries and luggage ahead of time through FedEx this way all we have to do is hop on the plane and get there. YEA!!! We will ship are belongings about 10 days prior to us arriving. We are all crossing our fingers. Hey maybe we will see there you there.......when do you leave? My son is 4, maybe we can meet at the pool w/ the kids.

We are there 4/30-5/7. It would be fun to meet up. I know one of our break/pool days is on 5/3 (a Saturday), but we'll probably take breaks during the day as well especially if it gets too hot. Will you be at any of the P&PP? We're going to the one on 5/2. My boys are 5.5 and 6.5.

Now I'm getting nervous because my suitcases are empty but I have bags and piles of stuff sitting around them.

The Hubby & I are debating back & fourth about whether we should or not? We have never been but we are trying to see if it is worth it or not? What is your opinion about the P&PP? I know your going and all. We are debating between that and Discovery Cove? We will be having a pool day on Saturday for sure cause we are doing the kingdom on the 1st for Wishes, then saturday morning for rope drop and breakfast, play there a little then back to the pool.

I suffer from something about packing? Don't know exactly? I am always afraid of not packing enough or forgetting something? Like there isn't a store in or around Disney? Crazy........


Your right on track, I am OCD......Don't fall into the trap.

Your right everyone does have the occassional bad day....but what kind of customer relations is that relaying? Believe me I understand busy...usually going 100mph all the time. But geez! And your no more OCD then any of the rest of us....I plan nonstop til the vacations get here....my DH says I'm obsessed! Hope you have a fabulous time on your vacation!!

I guess I am old school when it comes to customer service? We pay a lot of money to go to Disney, all I am looking for is some common courtesy not sour grapes? I'm so glad I am not alone in the OCD business, my husband calls this website my support group. He thinks there is additional help out there for all of us too.. Thanks to you all for bringing the magic back.

Did they remove the caffeine-free Coke from the food courts? I sure hope not. We're staying at AKL in Sept. and last I heard they had it there.

Too funny logansmummy....my dh calls says are you speaking to "your people". He has'nt gotten it completely and don't know if he ever will. Although he has a wonderful time when we're at WDW or on DCL. We're not far from you....about 1 1/2 hrs. And your welcome....you should have nothing but magic when you go to WDW!

I don't know if this is all food courts or just those at the two Port Orleans resorts. The only way I found out about the change was to call PO and ask.

When the "Grumpy" CM told me in a not verly helpful tone I should re-examine my options, this may be one of the options she was talking about. When she went on to suggest I try drinking hot chocolate for every meal if I wanted something other than water, besides thinking that she had to be kidding me, I began to seriously question whether she should be working in the food service industry. Other guests can have gluten-free, nut-free and other needs met - I don't know why caffeine-free low or no acid beverages should be a major problem.
