Crab legs back at Cape May..but hurry!

We ate at Cape May last night, and the crab legs are back to stay! My DH asked a manager about them, and the manager said the trial back in May went well, so they decided to bring them back!

YAYAYAY! We are eating here 2x in December and I was hoping that would be the case

That is great news my daughter and me both love crab legs and we are eating here in December. If anybody else has eaten here recently and can also confirm that they were there that would be great.

Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club also has the Crab Legs.
HUGE order of them

All the food is good there.
Service was great.
1 TS credit and pretty easy to get an ADR or even walk in.

Snow crab legs are being offered as a test menu item over at the Cape May Cafe`. There is no word on how long it will last but it started sometime this week. I ate there on Tuesday and was happy to find the legs where the children's items used to be. They are not an add on like they used to be, they are part of the buffet.

I wrote about finding the legs on my travel blog

What is in a Magical Star and would I be able to get one at Ohana's?

Are the crab legs good quality, hot and fresh, or sitting in a pan of water and smelling like the bottom of an aquarium? We've been to Vegas and other places and had all you can eat that you didn't WANT to eat. I might change our ADR if someone can vouch that they are good :)

when we stayed at the BC in May, we just walked down the hallway that goes around the Cape May Cafe to get to the pool, and it STUNK. And I like seafood. My seafood hating friend wanted to die!

We had the crab legs at Cape May on Oct. 5. They were hot and good!

I called the restaurant this afternoon and asked the manager if he still had crab legs...

"Yes", he replied, "And it's almost impossible to find pants that fit ! "

:lmao:

I'm kidding, of course. I hope they remain a permanent part of the menu, it would make trying Cape May again worthwhile...

Went there with DW on the 5th and ate the crab legs. I asked the server and the manager if they were here to stay and they told me that they are a permanent part of the buffet line. The last time we went in May they were on the bar and that was when the trial was going on. They did not have the claw cracker things( metal utensils ) they told me they weren't going to get them until they were sure they were keeping the crab legs. They had the crackers spread out on each table so they are here to stay. BTW Hsvteacher is my wife and I was the one that asked.

Well that bites. We were there in early May and no crab legs and again we went in mid-August and no crab legs. After our August trip we decided to take Cape May off our list as the selection was so poor. We leave next weekend and don't plan to visit, but will monitor any changes.

Ooooh, I am psyched!! That was my Dad's pick for not to miss meal after our trip in 07. We really liked it even without the crab legs. Add the crab legs and this will be at the top of our list for every trip. Yum-Oh!!! Can't wait!

some of the best we have ever had!! Believe me, we have eaten our share, so we have seen both the good & bad. These were Hot & steamy and each and every one broke open easily and the entire piece of meat came out whole. From what we witnessed, I would say they may go broke quickly! LOL!! No sooner than they would put a hot platter on the table, they were gone. They have metal buckets for you to fill and everyone was taking lots at the time. I just hope they are all eating them and not wasting alot. I hate to see someone take more than they will eat or if someone isn't familiar with how to open them, that leaves alot of meat in the claws & such. Hopefully, folks will not abuse the offering so it will remain for the rest of us that love it!! They wre delicious!!

Well I hope they still have them in January because my husband will be so happy to have them.

DS is doing the happy jig.

His only request for dining at Disney was Coral Reef because of the crablegs he got on our last trip. He was extremely disappointed when I told him they were not available this trip. :headache: I did find them on the menu at Captain's Grill and made a reservation there. Can't really find many people who have eaten here though, so I was sort of nervous.

Changed my ADR to Cape May when I heard these were put on the permanent menu. DS is happy once again.
