Crab legs back at Cape May..but hurry!

Snow crab legs are being offered as a test menu item over at the Cape May Cafe`. There is no word on how long it will last but it started sometime this week. I ate there on Tuesday and was happy to find the legs where the children's items used to be. They are not an add on like they used to be, they are part of the buffet.

Thanks. Do they replace the clams or mussels, or are they an addition? This would be great news to my DH - he's a crab fanatic.

Now I'm going to have to keep my ADR for Cape May next month. If Dh can have unlimited crab legs I think even he will be full.

That's great news!! We'll be there next week so I hope they're still there. Surely they aren't replacing the clams or mussels because I love those also. Hopefully they're in addition to!!!

Hi,We usually stay ay the BCV. So we pretty much dine at Cape May every trip. It is one place the whole family enjoys. And we have MANY happy memories of eating here over the years. Hopefully the Crab Legs will STAY thru July because that is our planned next time to dine at Cape May!! Joan

I was just getting ready to post about Cape May having crab legs, but you beat me to it!

We just had dinner there tonight, and they still had the crab legs on the buffet. We were seated just across from them, so we got to watch people go back and forth. They were very popular! Clams and mussels were also still on the buffet.

1) From a chef at Cape May, the crab legs are not the trial.
2) The cost vs revenue is the trial.
3) If there are too many taken, they will be dropped.
4) Otherwise, the eatery will not make its profit projections.
5) So, it is a case of reasonable dining or pigging out on crab legs.

NOTE: People pigging out on lobster and crab legs led to them being removed from eateries, except from Narcoossee's lobster. We will see how this trial goes.
