Crab Cake question - moved from food pic thread

Flying Fish...LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!


DH's crabcake, which was good, but being from MD, we have of course had better.

I needed to find a Maryland person to ask this --Are there any good crabcakes anywhere on the property? My dh loves them (we were both born and raised in the Baltimore area) but I seldom order them in restaurants because no one, and I mean no one, knows how to make them right, even if they do put MD in the entree name. So, do you have any suggestions?

No, none that we have had. Nothing matches the Timbuktu crabcake. None have had lump meat in them, not even Fultons! That is not to say they aren't good, as some have been, but we haven't found one yet that WOWed us!

I am a Baltimore Girl and there are NO good Crab cakes in Disney! LOL There are plenty of pretty crab cakes and lots of ok tasting ones, but you will not find a Maryland Crab cake in FL!

Not the exact same subject but I am from Louisiana and I've found that you just can't find good fried fish anywhere in Disney. I guess our fried fish and Disney's fried fish are two different things.
