Have any of you gotten upgraded to the Tower from the Garden Wings before? We're going for 2 nights in Aug. and I really don't want to spend the extra for a tower room but wondered if anyone had been surprised by being given an upgrade. And, no...I'm not planning on going in there looking for one. Don't think I have the nerve to ask for one, point blank. I reserved a wing room and that will be fine. I was just curious if it ever happens.

I have a friend who was upgraded from the wings to the tower last September. She didn't ask for the upgrade either, and she wasn't going for any "special" occasion.

G4T - I think there was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago for upgrades at the CR specifically. Perhaps try a search for it? I think there were quite a few posts.

Do our trips overlap? We plan to stay at the CR wing from Aug 7-14th. The thing I think I'll like least about the CR is the swimming pool area - no kiddie pool!

Off topic from the original post but even though there is no kiddie pool the main pool does have the water fountains and there are water sprouts that shoot water out around the pool. My daughter who was 2 at the time when we last stayed at the CR, loved the pool for those reasons. She also loved watching the monorail go by above and the parasailers in the sky while we were in the pool. I hope you have a great vacation! Enjoy your stay at the CR!

Yep, we overlap....we check in on the 13th and out on the 15th. We are really looking forward to staying here. Don't really care where I end up either. Just happy being able to be there. Maybe we'll see you at the pool!!! I'll be the one with the very tall, grey haired dh and cute red-haired dd!!!
