I'm planning on this resort for next year and have some questions.
What are the pools like? How many? How deep?
Where is the walking path to MK? How long to walk there?
How is the bus transportation to MGM & DD?
Cost of watermice?

THe walk to the MK is only about 5-10 min. The bricks on the walkway have names, so when we walk to the MK, we read the names & that makes it go pretty quick. All in all its not a bad walk at all and most of the time it quicker then taking the monorail and definately quicker than the bus. The bus rides to the other palces is hit or miss, sometimes it can be a slow ride depending on traffic and its pretty much like all the bus rides at disney. We never really had any problems taking the buses, but for some reason we always have to wait for one to come the longest getting back from dtd. We drive down so most of the time we take the car to dtd. I'm pretty sure there 2 pools, 1 main and 1 kiddie. THe slide is pretty good according to my dd. She loves it. She compared it to GF and the pool at the CR she likes better. We love the CR and theres lots to do there, its our favorite and we try to go there every year. When are you going. Are you staying in the wings or the tower. We stay at the tower and always request a pool view. The EWP passes every night and the view is wonderful. Can't go wrong stying at the CR. Rooms are large and airy and monorail is as added attraction for the kids( and me too).....

dg39 - that's the first I heard about names on the bricks. That sounds pretty interesting. Are these the bricks that people got to purchase? I'm hoping to go the end of August '04 before the kids go back to school. I'm also hoping to be able to get a tower room. We're planning on a 3 night cruise then a stay at the CR. Not sure how long yet. Maybe 3-4 days. I was also thinking of maybe a few days at CR and a few at one of the moderates or values. We've stayed at what was then called Dixie Landings and loved it. I want to stay somewhere else this time.
