We go to Disney every July. We ususally stay at Pop Century, but this time we wanted to make it a special trip and stay at the Contemporary Resort (theme park view). Is there a room that anyone has stayed at that I might be able to request? I know that you dont always get what you request, but I would like to try. I heard some rooms are renovated and some are not..

Any suggestions:happytv:

All rooms in the Tower and South Garden Wing have been 100% renovated and as for requesting a good floor with the Magic Kingdom view here is my opinion. I have had a Magic Kingdom view as low as the 6th floor and as high as the 14th floor. Personally the view did not look any different despite staying on a higher floor. Also the 5th floor there are no Magic Kingdom view rooms because of the Monorail station, plus the 12th & 14th floors are Club Level floors which cost a lot more money per night, so those floors can not be requested unless you make a reseravtion for a Club Level room. So if you want to stay as high up as possible then request a room on the 11th floor.

Finally if you have not seen a pic of the Magic Kingdom view room, here is a pic I took from room #4840 which is on the 12th floor, when I stayed there in August 2006.

If you are looking for the BEST MK view you can find then you have made the right choice staying at the CR! The views are amazing!!

All rooms inthe tower and south wing have been renovated. And well the North wing, thats a sad sad story...anyway the new rooms are great.

I assume you will be staying in the tower MK side, because theat is the only place you will find MK view rooms at CR. I would suggest requesting a higher floor because the CR parking lot is below you, and I have never haeard noise but I guess its possible.

Anyway the CR is great and I'm sure you will have an AMAZING stay there!

We stayed in 4741 last week...11th floor, beds are faced so that you can see the Castle from bed, and it's on the side away from CM so you don't hear any of that.

TSMAMI,
Even if you did end up with a room around Chef Mickey's, I have found them not to be bad at all in terms of hearing noise coming from there. Of course while others may have a different opinon and say they are not that good, I can only go by what I think about that.

Keep in mind, if you want a room in the tower and facing the Magic Kingdom, you need to reserve (and pay for) that specific room category.

4741 on the 11th floor, or any room around there. I don't think you could really have a bad room at the Contemporary, though, especially with Magic Kingdom view.
