CR upgrade.....

i know i read a thread on this the other day, but i can't find it.

wondering about upgrades at the CR.
if we book a basic room ( garden view?)- what are the chances we could get an upgrade to the tower? - would it be a free upgrade, or would we need to pay the difference once we checked in? - we will be booking our trip through a travel agent....
we would be there in january...value seaon

i really really want to stay on the 14th floor..but i doubht they will upgrade us that far LOL

Free tower upgrades are really rare so you should plan on paying the difference when you check in. I think the CR stays pretty full so you might want to get your TA to change your reservation now if you want a tower room.

thank you....i dont have any ressies yet, as we are still deciding what type of room..LOL it took me 5mths to decide on a hotel ! LOL good thing we are not going for 10 mths yet.

I agree with Bojangles, they do happen, but believe they are rare. We were there last summer and we had to be moved three times before finding a room that did not wreak of smoke. Each time we were given a room is was the same catagory as what we reserved (standard wing). No mention of upgrading us to help solve the medical problems. But we loved our room in the Southwing, facing the parking lot and we would not hestitate in booking a standard wing room in the future. We like the convenience of this resort.
