CR tower vs deluxe garden

So I just rebooked our end of May trip for beginning of August (fingers crossed) and switched from the tower-lake view to the deluxe garden wing and now I’m doubting my decision. It’ll be 2 adults and a 10 year old. We like the tower, but was intrigued by the idea of more room and slight separation for the kids sleeping area. Did I make a good decision? Anyone have a review of the deluxe garden? Thank you.

The Deluxe Garden Wing rooms are large V shaped hotel rooms with a King bed and a Queen sleeper sofa. For 1st floor rooms, they have 2 different patios (each with 2 chairs). On floors 2-3 there are just 2 sets of sliding door with a railing (no balcony).

These rooms are located on inside angels of the garden wing so offer views of the Gardens, Pools, Marina or Bay Lake. You can also walk to the MK in addition to the resort Monorail. It can be very convenient after a late evening at the MK.

It tends to be much quieter in the Garden wing vs the Tower.

Just my two cents, but part of what makes staying at CR so magical is staying in the tower. We've not been bothered by noise when staying in the tower. IMO, the deluxe rooms are still just one large room, they don't offer a lot of separation between the two sleeping areas. And will your kid be cool sleeping on a pull-out bed for the entire trip? Because they are not the most comfortable sleeping surface. We've stayed in the garden wing once and the tower -- I will never not want to stay in the tower again after staying there. Just my personal preference, but that's where the magic is.

Thanks for your input. Those were definitely some of my concerns too. Last time we stayed in the tower, but were able to keep costs down bc we did a split stay with the YC. The package did not allow for a split stay, so I had to choose either YC or CR. I was really torn. With the rack rate room, I was trying to keep costs down a bit.

Understandable. Those tower rooms are so pricey.

I haven't stayed in a deluxe room in the garden wing, but have stayed in the garden wing several times. I actually love that building. It's quieter than the tower and you don't have to contend with the often congested elevators to get anywhere. We find it so convenient to simply walk out of our room and go right to the path to MK. Also love that all of the restaurants are accessible by escalator and the pool is at our doorstep. I'm not a huge fan of pull-out beds, however. I would actually recommend pricing out a garden view in the garden wing if available so you get two real beds.

Good point. I wasn’t sure if those pull-outs were more uncomfortable than the fold over daybed.

We've stayed at the garden wing and at the tower club level. When we stayed club level at the tower, we could hear the monorail announcements in our room late at night. When we stayed in the garden wing, it was extremely quiet. Both rooms were identical. We're booked to return in July and are staying at the garden wing. It's a no-brainer if you want to save money imo.

This seems like a good opportunity to try a new hotel. If proximity to MK is what you are after, have you tried WL? We thought it was gorgeous and the boat to MK was super quick and easy. And the rates are considerably lower than CR.

Love Garden room myself.
the tower is nice IF you want to look out at MK.
formus we are in the park much more and it would be a waste to pay extra but garden rooms are nice, fast easy walk to tower for food/mono but pool is easy with garden and there are nice grass areas
