We've never stayed there before, only taken the boat launch to WL and eaten there.

I'm not sure how sprawled out the resort is and if its worth the money to get a tower room?

When we stayed at the Poly its SSOOOOOO sprawled out that it takes you a while to get to the mainhouse (we were right by the ttc) to get coffee or anything. I don't want that experience with CR.

Thanks

Ive never stayed there either Tink.. but my Fiance and I decided that the Tower was definately worth the extra dollars after reading about how long the wing hallways are.. and well.. we wanted the view too.

I read that if you stay in the North Wing i thnk it is.. then you are that much closer to MK and you can walk in about 15 minutes.

The walk to the MK from the tower is 7-8 minutes max. It woudn't be more than a 10 minute walk no matter what part of the resort you were in.

With the tower, there are no bad views. You either look out on the parking lot...with the MK beyond, or the bay/beach/pool. I think that some of the Wing rooms may just look out on a parking lot. But I'll tell you, if you can get a 1st floor wing roon at whatever wing is nearest the pool, you'll think you'd just become a millionaire...two pools, slide, hot tubs, beach, lake, just right outside the door...how can you beat that?

Exactly. Last June we got a NGW first-floor room, facing Bay Lake. Nothing beat drinkign coffee in the morning, watching the fog; or enjoying a liqueur at night, with the boat lights crisscrossing the shore. I'll take a wing room over the tower.

We have stayed in both and I would do tower again in a NY minute! Loved waking up and falling asleep to the view of the castle! :wizard:

I have only stayed in the North wings and they are so close to the MK & buses, and tower... I had no problems with staying in them!

I have only stayed in tower rooms at CR so I'm not much help. However, I prefer the tower - it's more convenient to things. The only down side is that the canyon area from the 4th floor and above can be somewhat hot in summer and cool in winter because of the openings for the monorails - it's too large a space to heat and cool efficiently, so stepping out of your tower room with its climate control can sometimes be interesting.

We have stayed in both the tower and in the wings (wing Jr Suite being most recent) and prefer the tower when it is affordable, but for the price cannot beat the wings. With a ground floor north wing room you are so close to everything, and it is great to have the kids be able to go through the sliding glass door to the pool or playground. Being in the tower you do get the wonderful views and the elevators frop you off conviently to all transportation IMHO. I don't think you can miss out with either choice (btw, when we were their during the teens in may they were getting ready to repaint/wallpaper the north garden wing)

We stayed at The North wing room 7104. We had a fist floor lake view and were 4 doors from the main building. It was fabulous. We were close to everything! I would definitely stay in the North Wing over the tower. The price is drastically less and you are closer to the buses and MK. We loved our stay and are planning to stay at the CR on our next trip. Although we will be splitting our stay with the YC just for the convenience to Epcot and MGM. Have fun I'm sure you will love the CR where ever you stay.
