CR - so upset!

CR has lost my account! I haven't been able to log in all week, first because the site wouldn't load, now because it says my e-mail address doesn't exist in their database. I have been a member for almost a year, and I had about $35-40 on my account! I sent a message to customer service about it, and they said they could not find any information about my account even existing!!! I will be so angry if I wasted all my time on this site and now I can't even get my rewards! Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Yes, yes, yes - it happened to me last year!
They restored my account but not with nearly the points that I know I had. They were apparently able to see that I'd had an account but for some reason all the points weren't showing anymore - they didn't take my word for it or give me what I told them I had. So I don't bother much with them anymore except for occasional shopping if they're the only one who has the merchant on their site (which doesn't happen so much anymore with other sites adding more and more shopping places).
 
Ooo wow that's horrible hopefully you can get some of your earnings back. I'm always paranoid about leaving alot of money in these sites that something like that is going to happen. So I have started cashing out as often as possible.
 
I had a problem with a recent redemption. It was only for a $5 Target card but it was taking way longer than usual for CR. When I emailed them about it, they wrote back that there was a problem with one of the shopping credits that I had submitted. CR makes you forward your confirmation email to them and they credit you immediately. Apparently they checked my track record as a member (I've always emailed them back when I've canceled orders or returned items) and decided to take my word for it b/c I got the Target card about a week later.

OP, I hope that they find your account. Do you remember your member number? Or maybe you have a GPT email from them that you could forward to them? It would have your member ID in the link and they could go by that (plus it would show how many points you had in your account when the email was sent). Good luck!

I had that happen to me as well and it was for a lot of points. Apparently the store I purchased from said that I had clicked to their site from a site that I have never heard of and not CR. I am still not happy but am still working hard to get to where I can cash out for my 50 dollar gift card I am so close but I am very nervous to do anymore shopping with them. I was very disappointed that CR didn't notify me when they took the points away but left me to send an e-mail asking where my gift card was.

Yes - the same thing happened to me a few months ago. One day I couldn't log in and when I contacted them my account had been wiped out. They told me I must have clicked on spam. With all of you having the same problem it's them for sure. I ended up forwarding an email to them with my balance and they restored my account. Since then I haven't had any problems.

That is horrible. Hopefully you have an old email from them recently you can send over. I agree with AZGal. I have been cashing out as soon as I hit $25 on most sites except SR. I get nervous to think that something like this might happen and then I'd have no recourse.
 
Whew! All is fixed! I had to rejoin the site and they were able to credit my points back to me. Thankfully I had saved my most recent paid e-mail!

Glad it turned out well for you!! I was getting nervous with what people were saying so I cashed out the other day! :rotfl2:

Me too! I saw this thread and cashed out for $15 in disney dollars just in case. At least I wasn't the only one :rotfl2:.

I cashed out for 25 Disney Dollars :rotfl2: I had been holding on aiming to wait until I had enough for 50 but I chickened out!! :rotfl:
