While I was at the AKL last week I booked a bounce back or future stay for this coming Oct 21st to 25th for 4 nights. I called & asked & they said they had the CP Theme park view ( Yes I know to die for :) But I was told it was even better that it was club level all for $1894 with dining & park hopper added as it was a room only code. I called back several times to make sure it was club level each time I was told yes. I even called when I got home as I received a letter but with my DIL with under it my name etc. I called & changed that & she reconfirm everything that it was a club level theme park view. Today I got the email with all the information on it but no mention of club level. So another phone call to be told no club level that someone made a mistake. I told him 6 people made mistakes? On my dime? He offered to change it to WL honeymoon room club level at a higher price or BWI Garden Suite again higher price. I am going down this Sept & then again in Nov/Dec so I didn't want to stay any longer.

He offer to check other dates but I made my air since it was a special rate so I would be stuck with a change fee plus any new price increase.

I might just call back & cancel.

Ok so here is my question if I decide to stay with regular room what floor should I ask for? Any contruction noises that would affect me? Any help would be nice & appreciated. I am now at a lost :lmao: Maybe I will cancel since we had a storm & did some damage to the roof tiling some came off not sure if insurance will cover it. And DH is not that handy in that area besides he will be overseas from end of June to late August.

I feel like I am surrounded by idiots :rotfl: :rotfl:

call again and ask to speak to the manager.

this was Disney's mistake not yours.

do you have anything in writing saying it was the Club level?

At the CR club level there is no guarantee of a Theme Park view room. Personally, I'd stick with the view and not worry about the club level. For the difference in price you could order room service for breakfast and some special "treats" for the afternoon. Yes, you would have to make your own ADR's but it is an incredible view and you received a very good price.

Request a high floor for the best view. Don't worry about construction noise.

Enjoy, it's a great hotel and very comfortable rooms.

I agree I would call and ask for guest services. Tell the the times and dates you called who you spoke with and want to know how so many CMs messed up.

If you stick with the Magic Kingdom view the highest floor you can select is the 11th floor. As for the construction in October it will all be 100% finished on the 4th floor since Chef Mickey's Express will be open by then. Finally the construction happening outside where the North Garden Wing building use to be has no effect on your stay at all, that I can guarantee.

No other than the notes I took & the names & DH who heard me asking for club level & then him hearing what they told me. I might just call back and ask to speak to guest services. Right now I am still bummed out about it but have too many fires going on at home that it might be better to cancel it. As one poster said not gurantee a theme park view on concierge level. I make my ADR's anyhow so that no worries. Thanks :goodvibes

Thanks for your input. Makes me feel better about it if I decide to go since somethings at home came up & money might be used there instead of going back to Disney. I appreciate you telling me about what floor to request & noise level :goodvibes

You're welcome and I am happy to help. :thumbsup2

Thanks to all on your inputs about the CR. I guess I was bummed out by the wrong information given to me by so many CM while I was there. I thought the price was too good to be true that why I kept calling back. Live & learn. I thought staying club level you got theme park view but guess not. Not that I need club level sometimes it is nice having it for the sodas & water etc. But I will have to wait & see what happen with our home insurance if they will pay for the damages & if not how much it will be out of pocket. Wish DH was more handy doing stuff like that but he is afraid of heights & didn't save the piece that came off or I would have done it as long as someone held the ladder tight :rotfl: My luck I would fall off & break my neck lol not really funny but I am laughing at myself.
So I gather the higher the floor would be best? Thanks again :goodvibes
