We are going in May and have res at POR. Also have considered CR due to the location. Will be 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 4 and 2). What do you think? CR or POR?

Well since I'm dying to stay at the CR this summer, I vote for that. Since you will have two young children with you being on the monorail would be nice and you can walk to MK from there. Rooms are also bigger at the CR.

Since you're bringing young children, then stay at the Contemporary. The rooms are the biggest on property, the youngers will love the pool area, Chef Mickey's is a must-do family dining spot, and the monorail will make the commute between the hotel, Epcot, and the MK much easier.

You can also walk to the MK. If you take the monorail "home," the CR will be the first stop.

I love POR and really think that you would love it there. It has several pools including main themed one with waterslide, children's pool, nice play area and in general a nice quiet resort. If it was the adults with slightly older children, I would tell you to stay there.

Now, I am not a true CR fan. IMO, there isn't a lot of ambience about this resort. I do like the restaurants and the fact that you can just walk on over or monorail to MK. As you have two young children, it will be easier to stay there and have direct access to the monorail when you need to take them back for naps. As they are young, I would tell you to stay at CR but in the future, stay at PORS as it is a very nice resort.
