Help please, we are looking to stay 3 nights after our cruise and going to MK and Epcot, we have is narrowed down to CR and BWI, it will be DH, myself and our DS who will be 7, also this will be the 1st time our family will be using disney transportation too - thanks

I have stayed at both and like them for different reasons. CR is great for access to Magic Kingdom and the monirail and has a lively feeling to it. BWI is so close to EPCOT and has a more relaxed feeling. CR has larger rooms but the sinks are in the same room as the shower. At BWI the sinks are outside of the bathroom.

It's really personal preference and you can't go wrong either way.

I would chose CR because you can walk to MK and monorail to Epcot.

Getting to MK from the Epcot resorts can be painful.

This!

I would also choose CR because the rooms are larger, the QSdining is better, access to other resorts, except other Epcot resorts, is easier from the CR, and it is really cool to stay in the tower where the monorail goes through the building! If you get TPV TOWER Room, you will be able to watch wishes fireworks from your balcony. Chef Mickeys is in the CR and is a great character buffet.

Enjoy!

I agree :thumbsup2.

For us, we choose BWI over CR because we love the Epcot resort area so much. We love the Crescent Lake, the friendship boats, and walking to two parks rather than just 1. Granted, the 1 to walk to at CR is MK, but we just can't keep ourselves from the Epcot resorts.

I have tried to sell my husband on CR as we now have small children but it's just not for us. I am sure we would have fun there, but the whole boardwalk area can be just so nice and quiet. The International Gateway also feels like a special secret entrance to Epcot.

Our normal schedule is to get up and head to MK for park open on the bus, then around lunch we monorail to Epcot and walk through to get to BWI. We will often grab something to eat on the way. We also do the same trek in reverse walking to the IG, through Epcot, then out the front to take the monorail to MK. (Should be noted here that we come from an area where mass transit is an absolute joke, so the monorail, ferries, and boats are part of the fun and a novelty to us.)

We've stayed at both (BWI twice), and loved both! CR was great for walking or riding quickly over to MK, but we did not have any issues with bus transportation from BWI to MK. BWI was a little more relaxed and we really enjoyed walking on the Boardwalk at night. The waterside at their pool is a lot of fun, too. I think you'll love either.
