I don't know about the childcare at CR, but the kids club at GF is supposedly just for GF resort guests. It is incredibly small, so I can easily believe that. Poly has a very nice kids club, called Neverland. A lot of people really like it, and it is much bigger than the one at GF.
There are also kids clubs at WL, BC, and AKL. All are really nice and my kids love them. Their favorite is the BC Sandcastle Club. It is really large and has LOTS of toys and games. They have video games and movies. When it gets late, the kids lay on mats with blankets and pillows and watch a movie until they fall asleep. The cast members at all clubs take the time to play with them and do crafts, so they get to bring something home if they wish.
Dinner is offered for kids there before 6:30pm (I think that is the time). It's the usually Disney kid food (chicken fingers, etc).
The cost is $10/hour per kid. Kids have to be between 4-12 and must be potty trained. They give you a pager to carry in case they need you, so you never feel out of touch.
You need to make reservations for the club. Call Disney Dining (407-wdw-dine) and make them. They need a credit card deposit at that time as well. You can cancel up in advance if you change plans, but I am not sure of the timing on that. Be sure to discuss with the CM when you make your resevations.
Our kids like this so much that they beg to go there. Even my 11yo still wants to go. I guess DH and I will just have to "sacrifice" and go out for a nice evening by ourselves!! LOL
