CR Hospitality Suite Questions

Hi Disfriends! It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm excited to report that I booked a June 2022 trip. This trip will "replace" the end-of-March-beginning-of-April 2020 trip that was cancelled due to the pandemic. My family is still kind of walking off the Disney depression of missing out on DS's high school senior year WDW trip/both DS's WDW band trip due to shut downs last year.

My family consists of my DH, DS who will be 20 at the time of the trip, DS who will be 18 at the time of the trip, and me. We need at least two bathrooms, three sleep surfaces, and a kitchen or at least a robust kitchenette with a sink/mini fridge/microwave. With this in mind, we decided to splurge and I booked a hospitality suite at the CR. We have stayed in the garden wing of the CR before in a regular room and we liked all that the CR had to offer. I'm excited about the extra space and extra bathrooms that the hospitality suite offers, but I have a few questions:

1. I've had my eye on cash booking a one or two bedroom villa for a while, but since they really aren't available to book right now, I figured it made sense to book the CR hospitality suite. (I'm not interested in renting points for a DVC; I'd rather have the flexibility that a cash booking offers.) My question is how does the CR hospitality suite compare to say a GF or BLT 1 or 2 bedroom villa? My biggest worry is will I miss the laundry facilities that a villa provides? If anyone can give me their experiences between a monorail resort villa vs the CR hospitality suite experience, that would be great.

2. Is the CR hospitality suite a CL booking? My TA said that according to her chart, the CR hospitality suite is not listed as part of the CR CL. I was sure that this type of suite at the CR was CL. I understand that CL isn't really a thing right now due to the limitations with the pandemic, but I'm wondering if, historically, the hospitality rooms have been CL? If so, I'm hoping that CL will be offered again by June of 2022.

3. Are there any other suites (not villas, as I know they aren't available right now) at other resorts that I have overlooked that would offer lots of space, at least two bathrooms and three sleep surfaces, and are available to be booked now? We are willing to stay anywhere on the monorail, or anywhere in the boardwalk area (BWI, BC, or YC).

In advance, thanks so much for your help and input!

You could also try posting this on the CL thread. (Disney's Club Level Info and Questions)

I’ve only stay in the cr hospitality once, it was pre Covid. We had access to the club on the twelfth floor. The only downside was since we were in the garden wing we didn’t feel as if we used it as much as if we were staying in the tower. We felt a little far from everything. The room itself is very spacious. It reminded me of the Everglades suite at the gf minus one bedroom. I find the cr hospitality suite to be at a much better price point then other suites at Disney world though.

Last month I stayed in a outer building 1 bedroom at the gf. It had 2 full bathrooms, 2 beds, and a pull out. I always prefer the gf, but the hospitality suite at the cr is much larger.

We love the DVC villas, especially at BLT. A 2BR villa might be available for cash.

In the meantime, here's a video (though not a good one) of a CR hospitality suite:

Currently with cl closed its just a suite. For trips in near future there are some really great rates for this room. They are discounting with GP and AP due to lack of cl.

Now who knows about cl return. If the room fits what you like book it. You can always book a backup and or change your mind later.

Price wise this is the best non villa option IMO. It has the most space for price. I often am looking since dd 25, bf25 and ds 23.

If cl returns I just nicely mentioned " we are staying in the Hosp suite, what is the best way to take wine to the room?" they gave me a bottle every time. Same with water, they loaded me up with water and milk the day I brought up a bag from the room.

Gf as mentioned is good, there are suites at poly in the Tonga building, also each deluxe has 1/2 bedroom suites which all NORMALLY include cl. Those are all priced much higher.

2 bedroom villas. BLT is my fav with extra bathroom compared to say VGF. It is nice having an extra toilet. So go to the wdw dvc site and check out the room layouts now so you know what will work for your group.

Happy Planning :flower1:

The CR hospitality suite is quite large and really lovely, IMHO. I like the location of the garden wing (right by the pool, quick walk to MK path) and, as others have mentioned, in pre-covid days that suite was CL.

That being said, we typically opt for 2-bedroom villas over any suite at WDW. I really like having a washer/dryer and I prefer the resorts that offer "dedicated villas" with cash bookings (such as BCV) where we get 3 real beds. I find, once discounts are released, I can typically get a 2 bedroom villa for less than the hospitality suite as well. If I were you, I would keep the CR suite for now and then price shop once the villas are released into WDW inventory. We like BCV and VGF the most (though VGF is usually never included in discounts). RIV also has beautiful rooms, but I didn't particularly like it when the Skyliner would go down!

Friends, you are the best! Thank you so much for all of your help! I will definitely keep my CR hospitality booking and then keep my eyes peeled for a monorail or Epcot 2 bedroom villa. We need three sleep surfaces, and three actual beds would be great. My DSs would definitely sleep on fold out couches and daybeds, but they would love a real bed. We definitely need two full bathrooms...this makes me way less grouchy when I'm trying to get everyone out the door in the morning. :tilt: You've reassured me that I've booked the best option for now, but that I'll probably need to keep my eyes peeled for a villa down the road.
