CR for April/Easter rates?

Hi everyone, I got back from CSR last week and checked out the CR during my stay..........loved it! Now the family wants to stay at CR for our April/Easter vacation. I called to get some rates and I never imagined it would be so much $$$ for that time of the year. I've stayed at the Poly and only paid $222.00 per night w/ tax and a pool view. I thought the CR would be a little less the the Poly. I was given a rate of $309.00 w/out tax per night for a standard room in a wing, with a view of the parking lot. I know AP rates are not yet out, my question is the following, has anyone stayed at the CR for Easter week with a AP rate and if so what was your nightly rate? I'm hoping to pay a lot less then what I was quoted! Please, feel free to give any information on this resort!

In 2004 Feb 12 thru Apr 17 is peak season when room rates are highest. The cheapest room (rack rate) you could get at the Poly at that time would be $404. Makes that $309 room at CR look like a bargain, huh?

I wouldn't count on a discount during peak season. I suppose it's possible but unlikely especially if people continue to travel and fill Disney resorts. Easter week is one of the busiest times at WDW. No need to offer discounts when rooms are easily filled at rack rate.

I don't know abt Easter, but we paid $600/night (included 2 UPH's) during August.
