Hey everyone...I'm new to the site. I've been reading the other threads about the CP and i pretty much know as much as i can get from the internet, but I have a few questions that maybe some of you would know the answers to....:upsidedow

I have recently graduated college, but was unable to do the CP for many reasons (too much to get into right now:headache: ) but anyway, I am looking into going to grad school, and was thinking about doing the CP for a semester and living my dream of working for the mouse (even if it is just for a few months). I'm 24,I currently live in NYC, and have been living on my own for several years here now. I'm still debating whether or not to do the CP....since I'll probably be 26 or so by the time I would do it, and I was wondering if anyone else around that age has done the CP. From what I've read, it appears that most people are 18-21, which is fine, but is it mainly just kids this age? Any CPers in their mid-late 20s? Is it worth doing it in grad school? or do most people do it in their undergrad? It seems like it would be so much fun, but I don't want to be the only 26 year old hanging out with a bunch of 18-20 year olds....(nothing against people that age, but I would like to have friends my age down there too) Any input would be appreciated.....:-)

Thanks!!

I am currently working on my masters (on target to graduate in May) and hope to do the CP this summer/fall - I would be 24 years old. I have heard a lot of people older than me have done the program, however, those people do not seem to be as active on these boards (or the facebook group). To throw in another kink - I am married and my husband would NOT be going with me.

I had the same reservations as you, but have found the overall theme of the program to be wonderful and can't wait! I expect the age gap will be one of those topics I'll be covering in my blog, you may be interested in reading it after my program starts!

I'll be almost 24 on my last CP (Jan 2009).

when i was down there last year, i was 21, as were most of my roommates. i had one roommate who was 28 with two children at home. she didn't seem to mind the age gap at all, and it really did work out for us. i had a friend who originally had a roommate in her 50s. i kid you not. i'm not going to lie, i've found the majority of people in the program are around 18 years old, which is even too young for me sometimes, but you'll find your own group of friends that work for you.

We had a neighbor who was about 48. And I've run into some pretty awesome people who were 25-35. I don't think you should have a problem :)
