I asked on another thread if it was possible to see the Epcot tree lighting at 6 pm, then CP at 6:45 with dinner at 8 pm but the replies indicated that this would be next to impossible.

So, would it be possible to do the 5 pm CP and make it to at least most of the Tree Lighting at 6 pm and then dinner after that?

If anyone has done all three in one night, please let me know how you managed it.

There are 5 adults in our group and we plan to be there on Monday, December 13th. I really don't care where we sit at CP just want to be assured of a seat with the package.

Thanks!

Donna

CP is about 45 minutes. I can't remember what time the tree lighting starts, about 5:50 or 6:00. I think you would be cutting it close.

Here's what we did one time:

LeCellier 4:30
Tree Lighting 6:00 - just made it
CP 8:15

Really I might be wrong but I don't see why you can't stick to your regular plan. Last year DH and I did the tree lighting ceremony at 6. Had a PS at Canada for 6:15 and the CP at 8:15. We made sure we got there early for the tree lighting and stood in the front to the R of the roped off area. The tee lighting was over in time for us to take a walk to Canada and still be in time for our PS at Canada. Since the CP is not that much further up and you have reserved tickets I don't see why it wouldn't work. Might be wrong but it may be worth a try??

Where is the tree for the tree lighting located?
Where is the CP held?

Do you think this would work...

6:00 Tree Lighting
6:45 CP
7:30 PS's at R&CP

This is exactly what I did this past year, and while it wasn't impossible, there are a few things I'd warn you about trying to do that. First, the tree lighting is where FW and WS meet, there's a tall tree and about a 20 minute presentation on a stage facing FW. However, if you expect to get to the American Gardens Theater, I'd suggest you see the tree lighting from the WS side, right by one of the shops. The big crowds will be on the FW side so that, unlike you, they can see the characters on stage. But if you stand over there, with all the people, you'd really have a hard time negotiating through the crowds afterwards. However, one nice little thing is that after the characters perform, still about 5 minutes til actual tree lighting, the get on the character bus, which is parked by WS. You get a great view of the characters then, and I admit that one night, I followed the character bus through WS.
OK, second thing-when you do get to the American Gardens theater, unless you're luckier than I was, you may get stuck with a pretty lousy seat, since that's pretty close to starting time for the performance. This past year, on a weeknight in early December, I ended up with a seat in the front row, great for close ups of the instruments in the orchestra, but not so great for getting the "full effect" of the show. Later on in the week, I went just dropping by and I got much better seats for viewing.
But the good news is that with a 6:45 show, I had plenty of time to comfortably make my 8:00 PS at R&C. So I might do it that way again.

OK, I think I am the biggest dork ever...I thought the tree lighting was at 5pm.
