CP ??s where to line up/when & interpreting ??s

We have a CP dinner package for the 6:45 show on 12/14. Our dinner reservation is for 4:10 @ Le Cellier. Do those on the package go in a separate line, and, if so, where does that start? When should we get in line considering that DH needs to sit in the area where the sign language interpreters are located? Is that area right in the front so we will lose the full effect of the choir?

We are considering going twice, once without utilizing the interpreters and once with, is the experience worth waiting for twice (I know this is subjective) if you thought that sitting down front wouldn't be the same experience as a view from further back?

How do the lines work, do they just let everyone in the line who has entry for the show at that time and then fill the remainder with people from the standy line? Any idea which performance is the busiest in terms of the standy line?

Hope I can make sense of this:

If you are standing FACING the amphitheater where CP takes place, and you have your BACK to the American pavillion (thus you are on the walkway around the world showcase facing the Epcot ball): the line for people WITH the dinner reservations is to the LEFT of the theater. The line for standbys is to the right (toward Italy).

It appeared that they let the people with the package in first. Then about ten minutes or so before the show was to start, they started filling the rest of the seats with the standby line. I was there the day after THanksgiving, so the vast majority of the standby line did not appear to get in, but perhaps someone it in might know better. They were still letting people in at least ten minutes after the show had begun. If you have dinner reservations, be sure to get in line at least 15 minutes before showtime. If you are using the interpreter, find out if you need to be there earlier or if those seats can be reserved for you.

The interpreter was to the RIGHT of the stage if you are facing the stage (she was MARVELOUS -- I only know a little ASL but it was like watching a dancer) and thus to the speaker's left. I would not think you would lose the full effect of the choir by sitting down front right near the interpreter, but then again, I was standing in the back (outside the actual amphitheater -- the standby line was laughably long more than an hour before the performance so I chose to stand outside by a rope) so I could see the interpreter quite easily and the choir as well. The only concern I would have about not sitting near the front is whether the people sitting in front of you would block your view of the interpreter.

Heather & Steven, thank you both for your comments on the interpreter. And I appreciate the info as I know how our family can get all turned around at times and with my luck we'd wait in the wrong line, lol!

I will check again with the person who I get the interpreting schedules from (for the parks for the week we'll be there) but I do think we wait in the normal dinner package line & let them know that we need that section.

Make sure you have a GAC and tell the first CM controlling the line that you need seating close to the SLI and show the GAC.

Don't even need a GAC for this. JUst let the first castmember letting you in you need to sit in the Sign LAnguage section. Only time I have trouble seeing the interpreter is during Hallelujah Chorus when everyone stands. As I am only 4'8" everyone is taller and I can't see.

Thanks guys, we will be getting a GAC, but for my AS son, we don't usually get one for DH at all. I will have it with us for my DS anyway, then and will show it when we go in, right? Is there someone I'm supposed to show it to before we line up?

Does the SLI section ever fill up?

Yes, I have seen it fill up when Marlee Matlin is narrating but not with any other narrator. A lot of terps and local deaf come to see Marlee Matlin.
