CP Reservations

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with changing the number in your party when checking in for a CP reservation? I have a reservation for 3 at Biergarten, but we may end up with only 2. I know that with a typical ADR, dropping a person when checking in wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how stringent they are with the CP reservations.

Never had an issue and have never found CP stringent. Did it today.

They could charge you $10 for the 3rd person if you don't cancel them 48 hours in advance - so be sure to call ahead.

I've never heard of that happening. As long as 1 person is there for the ADR they won't charge. I booked for 8 one evening last August but at the end only 4 of us could make it and wasn't charged any penalty for the 4 that couldn't make it.

I wouldn't take that chance for the Candlelight dinner package.

Incorrect as far as the credit card hold/guarantee policy. They will not charge you for individual persons who don't show up. They'll charge only if the entire party doesn't show up. This is true also for the Candlelight package, which is not prepaid.

It might be true if the event was prepaid, but it isn't.

Out of courtesy, I would still alert the restaurant if you know there will be fewer people dining than on the original reservation.

There is no way to call the restaurant about a reservation. You can call WDW-DINE and ask to change the party size if you are adjusting downward.
