Hi-Has anyone tried making this from the recipe on Allears? I am wondering how it turned out??

I tried this at home . . .pretty good. Not as good as the real thing, but I'd call it a good substitute!

What kind of bread did you use?

I buy the refrigerator bisuits, fry them in oil and put sugar on them...tastes just like it

we make it all the time here in the uk, cant help with the bread ?, though i have been told your italian bread? is the same as our british bread. we have also made it using brioche (again unsure if you can easily get french food in the USA) works very well with that, as the brioche is soft and sweet too

When you fry it, do you heat the oil in a fry pan, or use something like a fry daddy?
