I'm going to WDW the first week (11/27-12/1), and want to see CP. Last time I did the package, which was OK, but I'd rather not spend the money again. Last time I went again (without the package) and got a good seat (I guess going solo it's easier to squeeze in). So what do you think my chances are again of getting pretty good seating without the package? I'm hoping that since it's early in the Christmas season, I'll be OK to get a seat.

I think you'll be OK, especially on a weeknight, unless the narrator is very popular. We usually go the first week of December and have got in standby with no problem. We usually do the package once and then do standby on another night with a different narrator. Last year we did the package with Jim Caviezel and then Mary Matlin later in the week standby. We thought we had better seats for Mary Matlin, we were in the center about 3/4 back. For Jim Caviezel, we were in the front section but on the far left, hard to see. We're going to be there the same time as you, I don't think we'll get the package this year unless it's someone really popular we want to see. I have the DDE, I'd rather save money and use that.

We have been going early part of December each year since 1992.Always do CP package, that said most of time the stand by lines most of time all get seats that are for the most part good seats. :goodvibes :wizard:
