I have been offered a CP position for the Fall Advantage 2012. I am wondering how many non-trad students (over the age of 30) stay in the CP housing provided by Disney? I live approximately an hour and a half north of Orlando. My initial plan was to commute every day. However, my husband and I have been talking and we feel it would be better for me to take Disney's offer of an apartment.
I would hope to only have one roommate. Is that possible? I will only be there when I have to work. I will be at home with my family on days off. I am not looking to be anyone's mother - I have two kids of my own, the oldest leaving for college in August. I am there to work and have a good time, meet some new friends, but definitely won't be there to party. Been there, done that.
Is this even possible? To have just one roommate? Would those of you see it as "creepy" (as mentioned in a different thread of someone who is in her 50's)? If so, why???
I have been back to school since 2009. I met some of my very closest friends since being back in college.
My husband and I have also tossed around the idea of moving closer to Orlando. However, we really like the area we are in and will hopefully have our daughter enrolled in a very good school this coming fall. It will only be 7 months and I don't see the point in us uprooting our lives for 7 months - especially since we just moved from Pennsylvania to Florida this past December. However, this is an opportunity that I really want to take advantage of. I am really hoping to make this work.
Thanks!
Michelle
