Hey everyone! I was wondering if any CP alumni can tell me what their favorite class was during their college program. I got accepted into the Fall 2012 program and would love to take a fun class while I'm there!

I wouldn't suggest Marketing You if you already have a career goal in mind. It's kind of like a career aptitude course; if you already know what you want to do, it'll probably be pointless for you for the most part. They teach how to construct a great resume, but I'd go to one of their offered resume-writing classes instead if you just want to know about that.

I heard from friends during my program that Creativity & Innovation was a fun course! It books up quick, though, so you'll really have to try to snag it.

My roommate on the program had a course where all they did was ride the roller coaster-like rides and talk about how they were constructed. It was an Engineering course, though, and I'm not sure if they're major-specific or not.

I took Exploring Marketing and loved it. Each week we had a guest speaker come in from different areas of the company to talk to us about marketing that area like the DVC, Cruise Line, special events, etc. It was great if you're interested in Marketing.

I took creativity and innovation. It was such a great class. I still have my textbook and everything. Highly recomended.

I'm thinking of taking the creativity and innovation or the Disney Heritage class! Since I'm graduating soon and won't need credit for the program, I definitely want to take something fun. But it's not required that we take a class, right?

No, it's not.

I definitely recommend Disney Heritage as well. It was one of the most fun classes I've ever taken AND I got to learn about the company and how it began and everything. Even if you don't plan on staying with Disney, it helps you see how we began from the ground up. So awesome.

Disney heritage sounds exciting but so does Environmentality and Sustainability and Exploring leadership. Has anyone taken either of those?

Those two were the ones I was looking at! but I'm wondering does anybody know which class is the best for networking?

Would you recommend Exploring Marketing for someone who isn't a marketing major and has never taken a marketing class but is interested in possibly having a marketing perspective in the future (if that makes sense lol)? Or do you need a basic marketing background to understand the concepts of the course?

I'd definitely recommend it. You don't need any real marketing background for the class.

I am taking Exploring Disney Heritage right now and love it and definitely reccomend it! Especially if you can take it with David Howarth as the instructor. He is amazing! We had a class at the MK and our second to last session meets at Hollywood Studios for a trivia competition. So excited!

That's who I had for Exploring Marketing! He was great.
