CP Fall 06

now since the presentations dont involve the interview anymore, how do u dress to them? i know ppl use to wear business attire but is that still expected?

To my presentation, I wore a nice shirt and black dress pants. It's nice to look professional if you can. It shows that you are serious about doing the CP.

My school's dates are finally up! :thumbsup2 But they are not until APRIL (4-5-06)!!! :confused3 I can't wait that long. Maybe I'll just do the E-presentation anyway. I'm still waiting for the audition dates, but I bet that they will NOT be that late.

They finally listed some more NJ schools for those of you who are waiting! My school is not until the beginning of April and that is just WAY too far away. I did the e-presentation the other night and today I mailed out my role checklist/application so hopefully I will be hearing back from them soon about an interview!

[/edit] Haha wow I totally missed Joanna's post. :P But yes, NJ schools are up. :D I'm still trying to decide if I want to audition for entertainment. Right now, I think it's no since I think the closest audition to me would be Pittsburgh? And that's way too far away from me.

fristbytte21, I brought around $300 (maybe a little more). It was enough to get me through the first few weeks. And Feigned, couldn't you go to the Boston audition (whenever it is :teeth: )? That's where I am going to go. Like you, Pittsburg is WAY too far for me.

My school's dates are at the beginning of March, so I'm just going to wait for that instead of doing the e-presentation. I think it's pretty weird that all of the interviews are on the phone now, I wonder if that will be easier/more beneficial or hurtful? You lose a lot of the ability to make an impression, in my opinion.

Joanna, where are the audition dates/locations posted? I might go to one if its close just for kicks.

DisneyElite, right now the locations are listed on www.wdwcollegeprogram.com. That is the main website. But right now the dates aren't up yet (which is driving me CRAZY!!) Hope they are up soon.

Well, they're coming to my school the day BEFORE and day OF my trip to Disney World, ironically. I could go to the presentation before, but my interview would most likely be when I'm in Florida.

I guess it's a phone interview and e-presentation for me.

I did a phone interview for this past spring. It actually wasn't that bad. I thought I would be much more comfortable talking to someone in person (I hate talking on the phone though), but my interviewer made me feel really at ease. Plus it was nice that I had the time to write up a question and answer sheet for myself, based on the questions other people were asked, and then I had it in front of me for the interview (just in case I froze up). It was a very natural conversation though. Just make sure to take your time to answer a question- don't just blurt out the first thing that comes to mind if you're not really sure. Make sure to ask questions if you have any. :D

I didn't even think about Boston Joanna. That would be closer actually. I will have to think about it. My dad is telling me that he thinks it would be a waste if I went for entertainment since it's nothing with what I want to do as a career but oh well.

Same here. My major is recreation, and obviously entertainment is nowhere near recreation. Plus my dad thinks Disney doesn't pay enough (which they don't) but I don't care. The characters make people happy- I know they make ME happy. And I want to make people happy. So I really want to go into entertainment.

Asked this on the official thread but it got kinda lost.......

Are there any disadvantages to doing the E-Presenation? It would be a lot easier for me to do this with my schedule this semester, but I don't want to miss out of anything by not attending the Presentation.

I think the only real disadvantage is that you don't have somebody there to talk to, to ask questions, ect like you do at the live presentation. The E-Presentation is good, but I prefer to go to the live one (if I can).

I agree, especially if this will be your first time looking into the program. I went to a presentation last semester, but this semester chose to do an e-presentation. You get a lot of the same information, but without the chance to go talk to the recruiter, ask questions, or speak to students from your school who previously did the program (campus reps).

this is for mostly to anyone who has done the program b4....when u left and the end, did u wind up having money saved up from the experience? just wondering if i will b coming home empty handed lol

I brought home around $1500, maybe even a little more.

So is there any disadvantage in waiting until April or end of March to go to one of the schools in NJ???

i know ppl have searched this b4, but does anyone have a list of questions or know where i would find some that will be asked on the interview? thanks!

Well not really, but the only disadvantage is that you're interviewing towards the end. That's the only thing I can think of.
