CP dinner pkgs and DxDP

We love our TIW card and have not missed the DP at all.....however....

Since TIW card cannot be used for CP pkgs, I am considering using the DxDP for the first night only. Just need some verification from those more familiar with the dining plan program.

DxDP is for 3 TS meals per person per night. CP pkgs use 2 TS meals. That means 1 TS left we can use for a dinner the next night, correct?

$64.99 for CP Chefs de France and with the cost of DxDP $78.99 it is almost a no brainer. The difference of $14 more than covers another dinner, mug, and 2 snacks. Oh, and we can still use TIW for the adult beverages at the meals.

Guess I will call MS tomorrow and segment that first night. We are staying at VWL. Reservations start Tuesday for CP. How does that work? I assume you have to give your cc when you make the CP reservation. But if you paid for the DP prior to making the reservation, do you still have to give them a cc #?

I can't answer about the CP package, but we reserved the Spirit of Aloha show at the Poly (which is 2 TS credits), while on the DDP. When I called, I paid for the DDP with MS, (I had previously segmented my reservation), then the CM at MS made the reservation for the dinner show. I still had to give them my CC #, but they did not charge the CC, they put that the reservation would be using the DDP.

I just booked the Deluxe dining plan for our VWL December vacation first night! When I look at my reservation on the member site, it is listed in two parts, and the CM said that we would have to show up to get new keys on Saturday morning. Since we already had Le Cellier lunch for Saturday, this will save us some money. Thank you. I don't think I would have done this if you hadn't posted.

Now to get what I want for the CP on Friday!

I decided to forego the dining plan and book a lunch reservation at Via Napoli. One of our favorites for lunch and we LOVE their appetizers and desserts. $38.99 is not a bad price at all.

I just added DxDP to our first night 12/5. We are only there for 4 nights. Since we moved to Florida 2 years ago I have been trying to get over there (less than an hour away) early Dec every year. We make the reservation, but then have always had to cancel them. I am determined to get there this year.

AllEars states the CP packages go on sale 7/26 (tomorrow). Is that not correct, since you said you are calling on Friday?

The night I want the CP for is a Friday! Yes, the CP packages go on sale tomorrow, that's why I wanted to get the Deluxe plan on the reservation today.
DH is staying for 4 nights and I'm staying for 7. I'm hoping to go to the CP again later in the week with some friends that live in Florida. I like it so much, I usually see it twice!

I sure hope you get to the CP!
