Just a few questions and thoughts about this dinner package..

First of all, does it seem like an incredibly bad deal to do any of the buffets with this? Their prices are listed as regularly being around $20 and the package costs $26.99......that's quite a tip! Or am I missing something?

Secondly.....for a child....is this just a kids meal off the kids' menu for $10.99? When those are usually about $5? Or do the kids get to order off the regular menu and get smaller portions or something? And I'm curious what to do about a 2yo....with a buffet its obvious, but at the other places I'll have to get her a meal separately or share?

Just sort of wondering how it works...if anyone has done this with kids could you tell me?

We're definitely doing the dinner package with my parents at Le Cellier......just contemplating doing it once before they arrive also, at another restaurant. Which further asks the question...which one? Morrocco looks like it might be interesting....

Any answers, thoughts, etc....would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I think your observations are valid. The CP package does not save as much at the buffet restaurants or with kids. The kids eat off the regular kid's menu. The 15% off the gift shops helps make it a better deal and at the non-buffet restaurants you can save quite a bit off the adult meals depending on what you eat.

I think the CP Pkgs are a good deal. We usually eat at a World Showcase restaurant anyway, and I like the idea that I will have a seat at the Processional without having to wait in a long line. The 15% discount makes it a great deal for us.

As far as for kids, they do order off the regular kids menu; not a great deal, but still a good deal. Also, when my kids were younger (about 4 and under) I usually did not order them a separate meal. My girls were just not big eaters at all, especially when we're at Disney. I found the servings to be large enough to share.

We're doing the Candlelight Processional on Dec 6, 5:30 PS at Chefs de France and the 8:15 show!!

Thanks! I guess they really do have a premium built in so that you're paying for those reserved seats! Though we'll definitely be saving money at Le Cellier....the other places we're considering aren't quite as great of a deal. Oh well, i guess we'll do it anyway.

When you eat dinner at Akershus and Biergarten - the dessert is not included in the buffet price. So - if the buffet is normally $19 and you add a $4 dessert and a 15% tip - that comes to $26.45, so you'll break even.

I believe last year was the first for a 3-tier system. Before that the buffets and a few other were ~ $32.95 and the most expensive were ~ $42.95.
