CP closed for dinner

My TA just let me know that Crystal Palace will be closed for dinner starting on February 1, 2006 and won't reopen until May or June sometime

Breakfast and lunch will still be served

I am on the phone with Disney right now and just booked dinner there on 2/18, some of the availabilty for dinner where already tight, which really amazed me, apparently they have been swamped, I did ask about CP being closed, and he said that no, they were open accepting reservations. So we will see, I actually would be surprised to have CP closed during President's week-end, as it is so busy that week.

I posted this on another thread as well, but I called this morning to make ADR's and wanted Crystal Palace for Lunch on Feb. 3rd. I was told that it would be closed for refurbishments. LATER, I called back to verify that Cindy's was now 2 TS credits, and asked about Crystal Palace again, this time the CM told me that it was open for breakfast and lunch ONLY, as of Feb. 1st through March 8th. She said they'd be closed for Dinner ONLY. I guess we're all getting told different things....... either way, I got my lunch reservation on Feb. 3rd, so I'm happy!!!

Wow refurbishment already? Wasn't the whole restaurant just re-done a year or so ago??

I was just going to say the same thing. That doesn't make any sense.

I thought it was wierd too............ but, she was able to make my ADR for Feb. 3rd for lunch. She said that they'd only be closed for dinner.

Anyone else being told this, or something different??

Wendy - when I called today to make ressies for my trip Feb 13-17 I was also told breakfast and lunch were still available but dinner was not. I was happy that I would still get b'fast with Pooh =)

I just made ressie for CP on March 5 for 5:30pm with no problem -- CM did not mention anything about being closed for dinner-- hope I won't have any problems-- might have to check on that one

Unless my memory is fading again I think you're right, it wasn't that long ago. I believe they reopened Tony's for b'fast while CP was under rehab.

What do you think they are going to do for people who booked CP for dinner already? A CM booked CP for dinner for me on Feb. 27. I am assuming she just didn't know it was going to be closed. Should I wait for Disney to call me and tell me what to do, or should I make another ADR? Maybe Liberty Tree Tavern...

I just made ADRs today for CP in April for 5:00. They never said anything only that the characters could change

CP was supposed to be closed for dinner but that was been called off for now. Since Peak season starts February 16 it wouldn't make any sense for the restaurant to be closed every night for dinner. Say Hi to the REAL Tigger for me...I love the CP!

moot point but if they are painting it needs to dry before guests come so that would give them time to do the work and let it dry( husband is a painter and often commericial remodels are over night)

When I found out about the 180 day ADR change early on Sat. morning, I worked on my schedule and called right at 7am. Got CRT breakfast , which I was most excited about but also got CP dinner for Feb. 8, 2006. I asked about rehab they said it will go on in the overnight hours. I also got all my other ADR'S I wanted. . Can you tell I'm not excited!!!!!
