We are planning a trip in early December with my two DS's (9 & 6). I want to see the CP with my mom and I'm wondering if my boys will enjoy it or will they rather do something else with DH. We are planning to spend that day at Epcot and end it with CP.

I'd appreciate hearing about your kids experiences at this event.

If my mom and I just go, we'll probably do the dinner package. If it's all of us we will probably eat someplace simple and bypass the dinner package (that's a bit pricey for one meal for us).

Thanks for your suggestions letting me know how your children enjoyed this in the past years.

We have gone in past years with several kids from 2mnths up. I think is all depends on you and your children. You know what they are like. Myself and my children all believe that no matter what age you are, the children need to be introduced to new things and how to behave at them. I will say if the children had started to bothered other people around them, they would have been taken out immedidatly. It is never to early to introduce them to things and see how they like it.

Yet on the other hand a nice evening with you Mom by yourself could be great. How often can you get to be alone with Mom at such a great Magical place.

Hey, we took our two boys in 2002, when they were 9 and 6! The 9yo did fine, but the 6yo put up a stink. But he survived, and was not disruptive during the performance. He is just very active and doesn't like anything that isn't a ride or a meal. We did it again last year, and he did somewhat better as a 7yo, but still was not thrilled.

okay, i'm confused! what is CP? (i thought it was Crystal Palace and given that it's filled w/pooh and friends, i cannot imagine that it is not kid friendly, so i am obviously missing something... do tell... please!)

We did it last year with our then just 7 and almost 4yo DSs. They sat through it ok and did look interested at times, but it definitely wasnt the highlight of the trip for them. ;) I on the other hand loved it and think it was a nice experience for us to have on Christmas Eve.
