Cozumel speed boats and drinking water

Has anyone done the mini speedboats? How is this excursion?
Also, the lunch served, anyone have thoughts on the food safety and water?

We vacation in Cozumel. We eat at restaurants and drink the water served at restaurants. They serve filtered water and make ice with it. They even cook with it. Sorry. I am not familiar with mini speedboats.

I don't know about that particular tour but we've done tours in Mexico on DCL cruises at least three times all which included lunch. From what I recall, they were mostly made up of commercially pre-packaged foods and fruit which had to be peeled (usually banana). There was bottled water and cans of juice in the lunch.

Read an article not long ago about Cozumel. They spend a huge amount of money on their water system (don't want all those cruise folks getting sick). The quality of the tap water in Cozumel is as good or better that a lot of cities in the US.
