Hey all I need some help narrowing down or shore excursion for Cozumel. We will be travelling with our 5 and 7 year olds me and husband aged mid to late 30's and parents
I'm stuck as to what to choose in Mexico
I've heard Cozumel is awesome and I absolutely LOVe Mexican food so I want to ensure where I choose I get some kick *** guacamole and nachos.
I've looked at paradise beach, mr sanchos and passion island but can't decide. kids will swim and play whole time the rest of us will relax on the beach and enjoy the drinks and relaxation
I have narrowed our other shore excursions at our other ports Grand cayman(stringrays snorkel starfish beach) Falmouth (secret water hole and tubing with Barrett)
I'm using non Disney vendors to keep costing down
So my question is for al you Cozumel lovers where should we go? I want a beautiful turquoise beach with good alcoholic drinks and great food. Preferable something safe for kids and no beach full of rocks etc
Any help would be awesome

We did Dolphinaris in December, my girls were 4 and 7. My younger one was a little scared but my 7 year old can't wait for another dolphin experience. It's much cheaper to book on your own rather than through Disney and very easy to get to.

Hi there!

We did Playa Mia and as the PP suggested, it was MUCH cheaper to book on our own. They have a smallish water park, clean pool, and good sized beach. The facilties were nice and clean. I thought it was very crowded, but we went at Spring Break though. My sister traveled there in August and said it was nearly empty. I would book it again, my kids loved it! The nachos were very tasty too!

Have a wonderful cruise!

We have taken our daughter on the Fury Catamaran excursion. Through Disney and non Disney. We love it. You got snorkeling for a bit then the the Margaritas, beer and sodas start flowing. They take you to a beach with all kinds of water inflatable and kayaks, beach chairs and sometimes horseback rides availalbe. Then you sail back to the port. We love it. (When my daughter was younger I use to ask if they would take her along the beach for a few minutes for a horseback ride and I gave them $10)

We did Paradise Beach over spring break. We arrived around noon and were told all the beach chairs were occupied, which they were. We brought towels from the ship and found a shady spot in the sand to sit. My boys (age 10 and 11) immediately went out to the water toys (awesome) and never came back to shore until we dragged them back at 4 PM. We did get some chairs after some families started to leave. The pool area was nice and restrooms clean. I had chips and guacamole which was very good. There were some rocky spots on the beach but the workers pointed out the easier areas to enter the water. My boys had a blast on the inflatables and said it was their favorite day of the cruise. The inflatables are quite large and if my kids had been a little younger or not strong swimmers, I may have been a bit nervous to let them go out there without me. There were lifeguards present, but there were a lot of people in the water over spring break so if you go during a busy time, keep your eyes on your kids. There were lots of float mats.

THIS! We LOVE Fury Catamaran! Also if you get the morning sailing you are back at the dock in plenty of time to wander around the port area and get some food.

I would do Chankanaab but book it on your own. You don't have to do the dolphins (we did one year and one year we skipped it). Look at their website and print their coupons for admission. There is a pool (small--we didn't go in but looked nice), great sandy beach with those palapa covers and chairs (free). You can snorkel or swim and they include a seal show (narrated only in Spanish). The restaurant there is AMAZING--don't do the one in the building by dolphins--go to one on beach. Food and drinks amazing. They also offer bar and snack service at beach. Really a great day. Just take a cab from port.

I enjoyed mr sanchos when we went... The jet ski rental was the best I've done there

Thanks for the suggestions we don't think we will do the catamaran as we just want a beach day at Cozumel. We will do snorkelling etc on GC
Paradise beach looks great as does mr sanchos and chankanaab was also on my list however I am not sure that the beach there is nice considering it is all rocky and no sandy area and u have to use ladders to get down.
I like the idea of the inflatables however my kids are only 5 and 7 so probably don't want anything too far out
I guess my main thing is seeing these amazing Cozumel turquoise beaches you hear so much about that look stunning

We are walking to the Mega store to buy kinder surprise eggs for our kids as they are illegal in the States!!!

Chankanaab has a small cove with a sandy beach that is good for young kids. When we were there the Sea Lion Show was partly in English. Sorry, can't tell you about the food. I think you might be happier somewhere else from what you've said. We really enjoyed it with a dolphin encounter.

Excited to hear this review as we're booked to do this in a couple of weeks. :)

We have done Playa Mia and Nachi Cocom, and also just aimlessly wandered around Cozumel.

For kids with those ages, Playa Mia is pretty tough to top. Our kids loved the kids pool with lots of things to climb on and slide down, the water slides, beach, paddle boats and even a piñata. The food is just ok, but the rest of the experience makes up for it.

Best guacamole is at Panchos Backyard at Los Cinco Soles store. I love lunch there with the xylophone players during lunch!

Our kids are more Beach kids than pool kids so therefore a decent beach is pretty much our priority. I know we will like it wherever we go but playa Mia seems to be part of the Disney shore excursions so I imagine it would be overly busy and expensive for what it's worth. This is why I looking at paradise me sanchos or nachi Cocom.i know service at mr sanchos is great
I guess I want a beach that isn't really rocking and unswimmable
