My Dad is on oxygen all the time (pulls an oxygen bottle with him). We were wondering how strenuous the Cozumel Ruins & Beach Tour is? Is there a lot of rough terrain, a lot of walking etc.? He can take some walking, etc. but now a lot of strenuous climbing, steep terrain, etc.

I'd like to hear more about this one too from someone who has taken it. We are leaning towards this excursion so our son (9) will get some education without being board. (we have to justify pulling him out of school somehow;) ) so has anyone gone?will he learn anything or are the ruins just like a pile of rocks. How long are you there? And how about the beach? thanks Ann

I did this excursion and it was the worst I've ever taken (I've been on 3 DCL and used them for all our excursions). I'm a respiratory therapist and would not recommend this for your father. The ruins are very rocky with rough terrain and they tell you to be very careful so you don't fall. We had several people on our tour fall. It's also very hot and no shade or places to sit and rest. I gave a full description about how bad this tour was, if you do a search under Cozumel Ruins, you'll find it. I was so disgusted I called the excursion desk before I even set my stuff down in the cabin after we got back. AnnMorin-your 9 year old will be bored, I'm 34 and I was bored!!
