Cozumel Excursions disappearing from dcl site

We are looking at a few cruises with guaranteed restricted rates this winter with stops in Progreso, Cozumel or both. The goal is to have the kids visit some Mayan ruins. I've been researching port excursions during the past couple of weeks and it seems like a lot of the mainland Mayan ruins excursions are gone (as of today.)

Is it normal for excursions to appear and disappear? How hard would it be for a silver to book the Cozumel Ruins, Chocolate and beach break (CZ80) if it's the only experience with ruins?

Any advice or experience will be appreciated.

The excursions listed on the Disney Cruise Line site for each port are those that have existed in the past and may exist in the future. It is very possible that some of the excursions listed in the Port Adventures section will not be available on a specific cruise. If excursions have been removed from the Port Adventures section, that probably means that Disney Cruise Line does not expect them to be available in the near future. Excursions can be added back, but if DCL removed them, I wouldn't count on them being available for the cruises you are considering.

I don't know how quickly excursions fill up. I do know that on my upcoming European cruises, at least 2 excursions that were labeled as Full a month ago have opened up a few weeks before sailing, so if the excursion you want does fill up, you should keep checking.

Since Concierge cabins can book ~130 days out, I would not be surprised if all available excursions are not listed until closer to that.

Seems like you can get an excursion in those places, even if not Disney. Maybe you could find one that includes cenotes, like this one. (This one is well reviewed on Tripadvisor).

I don't think that Disney has run any excursions to the mainland from Cozumel since Covid. It's actually good that they're finally removing them from the site if they don't plan to resume them. We were able to book ruins/chocolate/beach break as a silver for our June 2022 Fantasy cruise, so I doubt you'll have an issue.

We just did the Western Caribbean itinerary and Tulum and Chichen Itza were not offered through DCL. I read a lot of mixed reviews for the DCL ruins tour so we did the local San Gervasio ruins through a private guide with Leon Tours and it was fantastic! I highly recommend them if you are open to outside vendors. The tour was tailored to us so we visited a great beach club (Sky Reef) for lunch and snorkeling as well.

Thanks for all of the information! I have a lot to think about and a lot of flights to price.
